Quand y aller? / When to go?
On y remarque deux microclimats : un climat
subhumide à l’Ouest et un climat humide à l’Est. Le
Parc accueille les visiteurs toute l'année et tous les
jours de 7h à 16h.
The park has two microclimates: subtropical in
the west and humid in the east. The site is open to
visitors all the year round from 7am to 4pm.
Comment s’y rendre? / How to get there?
Le Parc est situé entre les régions Alaotra Mangoro,
Atsinanana et Analanjirofo, à 348km de la capitale.
Pour y aller, il faut emprunter la RN2 puis la RN44 au
niveau de Moramanga. Arrivé à Ambatondrazaka,
continuez vers Imerimandroso et bifurquez à
Ankasina (pont Lovoka). L’entrée se trouve dans le
village d’Ankosy.
The park is situated between the regions of Alaotra
Mangoro, Atsinanana and Analanjirofo, 348km from
the capital. To get there, take the RN2 main road
from Moramanga. When you get to Ambatondrazaka,
continue driving as far as Imerimandroso, then turn
off at Ankasina (bridge of Lovoka). The entrance to
the park is in the village of Ankosy.

Ici vous pourrez campez pour rester en
contact direct avec la nature. Dans la ville
d’Ambatondrazaka, vous pouvez dormir dans l’une
des adresses suivantes : Le Paradis du Lac, Zama
Meva, Hôtel Max’Irène et Hôtel Les 3 Cocotiers.
It is possible to camp in the park. Otherwise,
there are several places to stay in the town of
Ambatondrazaka: the Paradis du Lac, Zama Meva,
Hotel Max’Irène and the 3 Cocotiers Hotel.
Où manger? / Where to eat?
La région Antsihanaka est connue pour ses
poissons d’eau douce pêchés dans le lac Alaotra.
Les restaurants et les gargotes aussi bien à
Imerimandroso qu’à Ambatondrazaka proposent
des menus de tilapias, carpes et barahoa préparés
de différentes manières. Vous pourrez goûter
à des plats typiques malgaches au restaurant
Maminjatovo ou à des spécialités chinoises au
restaurant Tsang.
The region of Antsihanaka is well-known for its
freshwater fish, caught in the lake of Alaotra. The
restaurants and snack-bars, both in Imerimandroso
and Ambatondrazaka, serve various dishes prepared
with Tilapias, Carp and Snapper. You can taste
typical Malagasy dishes at the Maminjatovo
restaurant or Chinese specialities at the Restaurant
Tsang.
Que voir? / What to see?
Les sportifs et les naturalistes y sont bien sûr
accueillis comme des rois ! Si vous êtes chanceux,
vous rencontrerez Tyto soumagnei, un oiseau
extrêmement rare. Profitez aussi de votre passage
pour découvrir l’histoire d’Imerimandroso (Imerina
qui avance), un village fondé en 1794. Visitez les
deux pierres au Sud du village, symbole de l’autorité
du roi Andrianampoinimerina.
Both lovers of sport and of nature are welcome. If
you are lucky, you may spot a rare bird called the
Tyto soumagnei (Malagasy red owl). During your
stay, learn about the history of the Imerimandroso
(‘Imerina who move forward’), a village founded
in 1794. In the south of the village, visit the two
rocks that are a symbol of the authority of King
Andrianampoinimerina.
