GENERAL INFO<br />

• Players and coaches please be onsite by 9:00 AM for a coaches meeting.<br />

• No Trophies will be awarded, as this is an Exchange<br />

• The results of the exchange will be used to seed the Tournament<br />

• Water refilling stations are available. Please bring water bottles<br />

• Warm up time will be 10 minutes (if time allows) 4-4-2 warm up.<br />

• Lunch will be available through Subway Sandwiches. Lunch Order forms will<br />

be sent out along with this info sheet.<br />

• Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided for coaches and parents<br />

NB: there is no space between the gym walls and the service lines. We allow<br />

students to take a step into the court with one foot, over the service line to help<br />

create some space.

RULES:<br />

Most Recent FI<strong>VB</strong> Rules will be applies. Except for the following amendments:<br />

1. Matches are best 2 out of 3 sets. The third set is to 15 points (must win by 2<br />

points)<br />

2. It is recommended that a 4-4-2 warm up system, controlled by match the<br />

match officials be used for all matches.


3. Unlimited substitutions are permitted; however, the following restrictions will<br />

apply. In any given set, once Player A has been replaced by Player B, these<br />

two players can only replace one another. This means that a maximum of 12<br />

players are permitted to play in each set for each team. When a new set<br />

commences, the previously established pairing between Player A and Player<br />

B no longer applies. New pairings may be created with the start of each set.<br />

4. The following reduced new height will be used (Boys-2.43m; <strong>Girls</strong>-2.24m)<br />

5. <strong>PRC</strong>-<strong>HS</strong> Tournament Tie-Break Rules:<br />

• Results head to head between tied teams<br />

• Set differential head to head between tied teams<br />

• Point differential head to head between tied teams<br />

• Overall set differential during the tournament<br />

• Overall point differential during the tournament/group play<br />

• Coin toss by tournament director<br />

SECTION 8 – STUDENT ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY<br />

Taken from the <strong>PRC</strong> Handbook:<br />

1. A student athlete is only eligible for <strong>PRC</strong> competition if the student is<br />

enrolled at the <strong>PRC</strong> Member School full time in an international<br />

curriculum tract and meets the below Age Guidelines.<br />

2. Each Member School may enter teams in each of the above events.<br />

Note that the grade levels are only a guide and age is the criterion by<br />

which eligibility is determined:<br />

Categories & Age Guidelines<br />

(based on age as of September 1, 20<strong>19</strong>)<br />

U<strong>19</strong> (must be born after September 1, 2000)<br />

At least age 14 (must be born on/before September 1, 2005)<br />

At least age 14, but cannot be <strong>19</strong> on or after September 1, 20<strong>19</strong>. Requests for<br />

an exception made to Tournament Director at least one week prior to<br />

competition.<br />

3. In competitions, all Member Schools must be given the opportunity to<br />

enter one team in each tournament. Extra teams (such as multiple<br />

teams from a single school, <strong>PRC</strong>-<strong>HS</strong> Trial Members, or schools from<br />

outside the <strong>PRC</strong>-<strong>HS</strong> League) may be added at the discretion of the<br />

Tournament Director if numbers allow.<br />

4. Schools must be prepared to provide proof of age to the Tournament<br />

Director if requested.
