internet sensation Ranu Mondal
"Ranu Mondal has a divine voice," wrote Himesh Reshammiya
Triumph Rocket 3
So, this is what a 2500cc motorcycle
looks like
Singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya
feels that Ranu Mondal, who became
an Internet sensation after a video
of her singing the evergreen Lata
Mangeshkar hit, Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma
Hai, went viral, has a special gift. He
has offered her a song in his upcoming
movie "Happy Hardy and Heer".
Ranu Mondal will make an appearance
on "Superstar Singer" and meet the
kids and judges, including Himesh.
"Salman (Khan) bhai's father Salim
uncle once advised me that whenever
in life I come across a talented person,
I should never let that person go and
keep him/her close to me. He advised
me to help that person grow his/her
talent," Himesh said.
"Today, I met Ranuji and I feel that
she is blessed with divinity. Her
singing was mesmerising and I could
not stop myself from offering her the
best I could. She has a god's gift which
needs to be shared with the world and
by singing in my upcoming movie,
'Happy Hardy and Heer', I think I will
help her voice reach everyone."
The song is titled Teri Meri Kahani.
Triumph motorcycles recently
unveiled the latest generation of its
super-cruiser in the international
markets, the Rocket 3. The motorcycle
is available in two variants and retains
the title of the largest displacement
production motorcycle in the world.
The Rocket 3 will be available in
two variants including the Rocket 3 R
and the Rocket 3 GT. The R variant is
built as a roadster with mid-position
footrests and a more aggressive riding
stance. The GT gets feet-forward
footrests and a touring style handlebar.
It also gets a more comfortable seating,
a backrest for the pillion, a taller
flyscreen and heated grips. Its footrest
position for the pillion can be adjusted
as well.
The displacement of the motorcycles
has increased by 164cc and they now
get a 2,458cc engine. It makes 165 PS of
maximum power and 221 Nm of peak
torque. It makes 11 percent more power
than the previous generation as it gets
a tweaked crankcase, balance shafts
and a dry-sump lubrication system. It
also gets a new 6-speed transmission
and a hydraulically actuated clutch
with torque assist for lesser efforts in
clutch operation.
Triumph has not revealed the
official prices of both the variants of
the Rocket 3 in India, but it should be
lower than the special edition Rocket 3
TFC, which has a price tag of Rs 19.94
lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycles
are expected to be launched in India by
mid-2020.
