Morgan entered into his eternal rest on January 5,
2017. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on
September 25, 1931. He was the third child of Morgan
Enoch, Sr., and Viola Thompson Enoch.
The Enoch family moved to North Little Rock,
Arkansas where he received his education. While
attending Scipio A. Jones High School, Morgan
played football and sang in the school choir. Even at
an early age, Morgan’s singing ability was recognized and encouraged.
Shortly after graduation from high school, Morgan enlisted in the United Stated Air Force
where he served proudly for 22 years. While serving he received assignments to Texas,
Wyoming, Washington and California. His overseas assignments included German, Spain,
the Azores Islands, and Thailand.
Following his retirement from the Air Force, Morgan became a Master Barber. He also
worked in the Logistic Center at Fort Lewis, retiring from there after 15 years. He enjoyed
fishing, photography and music during his retirement years.
Morgan met and married his wife of 60 years, Anne Waugh in 1956. To this union were
born 2 children, Deidre and Scott.
Morgan and Anne joined Allen A.M.E. Church in 1999, recommitting to the denomination
of their childhoods. He was active in the Sons of Thunder choir, the
Brotherhood and faithfully attended Sunday School and
church services to continue his Christian education.
OBITUARY
LOVING TRIBUTE
I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God has laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found that peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee
God wanted me now; He set me free.
