BY MOMMA IZ
As a parent I know many things, as a kid, I thought I knew everything. I
can honestly say these things about your parents, they loved you. It hurt
them when you said mean things. They forgave you no matter what. And
yes, they wanted that last French Fry.
I rode the Black Hills of South Dakota, a place my father frequented. He
told me many times how beautiful it was, he told me many times to come
with him. Stupid things ran through my head as I rode through the Black
Hills. The time when my father bought me an Alan Jackson CD and told me
I would like it and I exchanged it for something else, I ended up liking Alan
and more
Jackson. The time he said come on I'll teach you how to ride and I said I can
teach myself and ended up paying for lessons. The time he bought me
cowgirl boots and I said no one wears these in NYC, only to end up wearing
them every day.... but these things I learned happened after his death. So
here I am in South Dakota and Wyoming, seeing him everywhere. He was
BIKER THE CLOCK
BIKER THE CLOCK
by Momma Iz
We only had a week to see everything.
Rain gear was packed, sun screen, chapstick, phone chargers .We left early and
returned under the stars. In the morning we pulled over to put on rain gear,
minutes later pulled over to take it off. South Dakota weather could change in a
minute, but our internal biker clocks and love for nature tells us how to roll. We
out ran storms, chased the sun and rode against the wind. Didn’t want to leave
some places, but the biker clock said time to go. Wanted to leave some places,
and the biker clock said stay. One thing is for sure, in a car you watch the movie,
on a bike you are part of the movie.

CROSSROADS
Here we are in the midst of a hot summer. There have been so many events going on and
unfortunately some tragedies that have effected us all in the community. Why is that? I
think it’s because we all in one way or another have found some sort of relationship with
one another whether it be through our motorcycles, our service to the country, our faith or
just wanting to help our fellow human. Whether it has been for triumph or tragedy, I have
met up and rode with some new people but, I have also continued to ride with friends that I
have known for years. Relationship plays a big part of our every day life. Work
relationships, love relationships, friendships, partnerships just to name a few. What about a
God relationship? You know the “Big Guy” wants to hear from you too. He created you,
right? He wants you to know that He loves you regardless of what you do. Religion is
about what you have to do, but relationship is about what He already did. If you want to
know more about having this relationship with God, you can reach out to any member of
Cornerstone Motorcycle Ministry or any of the other Christian biker organizations. We are
at a lot of the events.
Father, we thank you for always loving us exactly where we are. We are so grateful for
what you did at the cross so that we may be forgiven of our sins for all eternity. We pray
that hearts would be opened and softened to a relationship with You. In Your name we
pray, Amen!

Buffalo Chip
The Buffalo chip is where it's at. An endless sea of campers fill the fields. Bars,
stores, food, flat track racing, the Flaunt Girls, tattoos and even a bikini beach
with a slip and slide. Keith Urban, Toby Keith , Godsmack, etc.. Everyday the
Buffalo Chip had a jam packed day, vendors galore. My favorite was the general
store, what can I say.. as a camper that loses things... the Buffalo chip general
store had flip flops, first aid, bottle openers, coffee towels, beer ... everything I
needed :). My second favorite was the gyro vendor. I was in South Dakota, I was
not expecting a gyro. I did get a tattoo, it's my thing to get ink in every state. I
even ziplined while Godsmack was playing. The Buffalo Chip goes all out for
entertainment, and comfort. From the camping amenities to the nightlife. Book
your Buffalo Chip reservation now. Like us on our Twist n Throttle Magazine
Facebook page to see any of our videos during our visit to the Buffalo Chip.

PIT STOP'S
The Flaunt
Girls
by Momma Iz & Pit
So, while at the Buffalo Chip, we met with the Flaunt Girls. About 10 years ago, while watching a reality show based on the
Sturgis Rally, there was this woman named Angie. Angie was this beautiful petite dancer who walked around Sturgis Rally in
skimpy panties, ripped stockings, combat boots, and a tank top. Her physique was amazing, but I was head over heels over her
personality. I was watching the show and was like this girl is yelling at people, organizing people, looking for people, checkin
on people, and all while in skimpy bottoms, combat boots, and no one bats an eye, it's just Angie taking care of business. I was
glued to the tv to see what Angie would do next. Over the years Angie and the Flaunt Girls became a class one act infused with
burlesque, aerobics and dance. Girls of every shape and size completed this all girl dance act.
Now living as a biker, you see alot of girls topless, alot of girls wearing crazy stuff, it's not for everyone but we support
artistic expression so we deal. Believe me when I say there were several times I wanted to say put your stuff away to crazy
strangers at bike events. The Flaunt Girls were never like this, always in costume, always in shape and always with a routine.
Good music, good choreography and good fun. They dance and they mingle, they mingle with the wife, the husband, the
girlfriend, every fan counts to them. They are seriously not here to offend anyone, just some good ole saloon style burlesque
with a modern twist.
So I did not get to meet Angie as I believe she is raising a child now but I did get to meet Mia Big Tease and the rest of the
Flaunt Girls. They have a Flaunt Girl playground at the Buffalo Chip. They also bartend as well as dance on the bar. Talk
about interactive. The girls work hard, practicing their routine 3 days a week. They honor vets at every show and offer a
calendar of themselves that's available for sale. It was such a treat for me to enjoy them live. The Buffalo Chip Flaunt Girls
playground was truly an enjoyable stop on our Sturgis journey. Keep a look out for Baby as she does a stunning arial aerobic
dance .

Sturgis
arrived in Sturgis by plane. Our friends trailered the bikes.
We
Several of us had ridden to Sturgis before and anyway we got there
was acceptable. We picked up our rental car and headed to Rapid
City where we rented a beautiful house through Air B&B.
We went into town and stopped at the Knuckle Saloon to replace old
Knuckle t-shirts with new ones. Strolled Main Street, had a drink and
headed back to the house to rest up.
Next morning we headed to the Tilford Gulch campground to meet
our friends who had our bike.

CRAFTY
CUSTOM LEATHER TOOLING
by
DICKIE
Who doesn't love custom tooling. Why wait for the show season to find a custom
tooler. Well now you don't have to, Crafty Bastard is a local East Coast tooler that can
be reached on Facebook at Crafty Bastard. If you think of it, he can tool it.

Deadwood
for its gold mining and prosperity, Deadwood
Known
delivers on western charm and good food. Our favorite
artist David Uhl even has an art studio set up there. I had
to go in a shop called Miss Kitty . They're I purchased a
Miss Kitty coin, good for one brothel visit.

I welcomed them as guests,
but they left as family.
TOWER
DEVILS
County, Wyoming rising almost 900 ft above land, Devils
Crook
Tower is a beautiful natural monument to ride to. Many legends
surround Devils Tower, the Lakota Indians would carve arrow heads
from rock in that area. One day they found themselves surrounded
by bears, they stayed close to the walls of Devils Tower when
suddenly the rocks fell and killed the bears . Known as Bear Tower
to the Lakota Tribe, a general later changed the name to Devils
Tower.

RUSHMORE
MOUNT
stunning, magnificent, I don't even know
Amazing,
what to say about it. Our founding fathers, this great
country. Freedom.... if you love this country, MT
Rushmore will invoke every emotion.

BADLANDS
We rode through the Badlands, stopping for a drink on
the outskirts before riding back around to finish the 39
mile loop. Elevation 3340 ft. So many places to stop and
take pictures. When you leave the Badlands, you come to
a town called Wall. Just a small town 8 miles outside of
the Badlands, famous for the Wall Drug store, it is now a
town with 766 people and over 20,000 tourists. Wall
features many different stores, bars, eateries, and even a
Harley dealer. The Wounded Knee Museum is also in
Wall. I might add when you hop back on highway 90, the
speed limit is 80.

I
CAMP
Janet Truax
Campership Fund
Janet Truax was the summer registrar for Camp Pinnacle for many
years. As the person running registration, Miss Janet made sure every
child who wanted to come to camp was able to do just that. She would
call her church and other friends and say, "this child needs help going
to camp. What can you do?" She made sure scholarship money was
available. She passed at the age of 81 and right to the end she kept up
the fight for kids to be able to come to camp.
Every year 10-20 kids are able to experience the beauty and
adventure at Camp Pinnacle. From horses to motorcycles and fishing
ponds to talent show's, along with s'mores, fireside singing, and the
message of God's love for all of us... it's an amazing experience for
these kids. We would like to do that again this year with your help.
Camperships go to children in single parent homes, families in
trauma, and larger families with financial need. If you would like to
donate to the fund or apply for a scholarship, please contact Kayla
Trianni at (528)872-9100 or e-mail info@camppinnacle.org

HORSE
CRAZY
monument, restaurant overlooking Crazy Horse, huge gift
Amazing
shop with Native American museum. The restaurant even served a
Buffalo Stew. Can you say vacation? Because I'm exhausted recapping
all we rode to.
No matter what town you go to it is all part of the Sturgis rally
experience. Every town is prepared for us, cones, parking, barricades
diverting cars away from us. Banners hanging that say "Welcome
Bikers". It truly is the mother of all rally’s. Everyone is happy to see
us and there is no shortage of accommodations and hospitality.

Bathtub, Spearfish Canyon
Devil's
I am not sure if all bikers are getting the jist of Devils Bathtub, its quite
Omg,
deceiving. You pull off the road into a parking lot, you see a beautiful stream and
after a few minutes most bikers rode off, not us, I read the stream leads to a
swimming hole. Determined to find it, we walked a slightly hidden trail, along
the way we met newly engaged Mike and Caroline. We wish them the best. Ok,
so we are in biker boots with bathing suits underneath, can't be too bad, I'm sure
its here somewhere. So we walk, see a couple of people and ask about the
swimming hole. Oh, you have to cross the creek a couple of times. Well we
crossed a shallow creek and then had to cross again and again and again. Water
was over our boots, Pit was carrying cameras and we had pants on. I dodged a
snake, poison ivy and very slippery moss. About a mile later we were there.
Others had found it and kids were sliding down a natural waterfall into an ice
cold swimming hole. I recommend the journey, just dress properly.

Keystone
Another gold mining town, wooden boardwalk, South Dakota
gold shops, as well as a tour of a gold mine, and you can pan
your own gold.
Right before Keystone was a corner parking lot next to a huge
store called Candyland. Yes I went in .. and yes it was wall to
wall candy . The parking lot was filled with vendors. I met
Gentleman Jim there . He makes his own oils and balms for
beards, women's hair and skin. I was sold on his original scents
so i stocked up. I will say his hair oil saved my helmet hair all
week.

Custer, Needles, Sylvan Lake
Sylvan Lake, the starting point. Needles Highway, the word scenic
isn’t big enough to describe it. Passing through rock tunnels,
navigating curves, straight into Custer State Park. Buffalo roaming
free, donkeys on the road, South Dakota does not fall short on
adventure.
