Day Hospital
gets new operating room
Indaiatuba has a Pediatric ICU
Indaiatuba took an important step in caring for the
children. This year the city inaugurated the Pediatric
ICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit). Of the 42
cities that are part of the DRS VII (Regional Health
Department of Campinas) Indaiatuba is the 5th city
to have the Pediatric ICU. The municipality released
R $ 441,633.11 for the acquisition of equipment and
furniture for the ICU. The municipality also offers ten
beds of Neonatal ICU and 23 beds for adults.
Health in Action
Two UBSs were built with funds from the State
Government and the Inter-American Development
Bank. Each unit received approximately R $ 3 million
of investments and the estimate is that each one will
perform about 180 daily calls. UBS of Jardim Camargo
Andrade is already in operation and the Jardim das
Maritacas will be activated in the second semester.
City Hall has bold investment plan to
improve health
Expansion of Haoc Hospital (Augusto de Oliveira
Camargo Hospital)
Construction of 76 new rooms and an ICU. The new
building will have 7,500 m² of total area, divided into
five floors of 1,500sqm each, totaling 210 new beds.
CEO II
City Hall renovated and expanded the facilities of
the Dental Center that operated in the former Mini
Hospital, in Jardim Morada do Sol, for the installation
of the second unit of the CEO (Center for Dental
Specialties). The reception was expanded, replaced the
ceramic tiles, reformed the hydraulic and electrical part
and made improvements in the service rooms.
In 2018 the dental care
of the municipality added
36,803 consultations
and 278,004 individual
procedures, in addition
to 161,738 oral health
prevention actions. 1,000
dental prostheses were also
delivered.
To guarantee greater comfort to the population of
Indaiatuba in surgical treatments, the Surgical Center
of the Day Hospital “Dr. Renato Riggio Jr” is being
remodeled and expanded. The initiative is the result of
a partnership between city hall and the Association of
Accountancy Companies of Indaiatuba (Aesci) through
the project “Contador Solidário”
The project provides for the addition of one more
operating room in a new ward that will have a
preoperative waiting area separated by sex and with
men’s and women’s toilets. With the expansion, there
will be an increase in the number of patients from 300
to 450 patients per month. In total there will be three
complete operating rooms, in addition to restructuring
the medical and nursing staff to serve the population.
