Central World has been Ratchaprasong’s shopping
landmark for decades while the elegant Gaysorn
Village on the opposite side is a haven for luxurious
merchandise. Next door to Gaysorn Village are Big C
Super Center and The Market Bangkok Ratchaprasong
shopping mall. On one corner of Ratchaprasong
intersection is the Erawan Bangkok shopping arcade
and the Erawan Shrine. Ratchaprasong is also a
springboard to nearby shopping zones via the
multi-direction skywalks which lead to several
shopping zones and department stores including
Central Chidlom, Central Embassy, Siam Paragon,
Siam Center and Siam Square.
Ratchaprasong also embraces several luxurious
hotels: the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, Centara
Grand at Central World, Arnoma Grand Bangkok
and Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong.
CENTRAL WORLD
Bangkok’s foremost and must-visit shopping
centre, Central World houses 2 department stores:
ZEN and Isetan Bangkok. There are shops for high end
brands, such as Coach, Giorgio Armani, Daks, Rolex and
Swarovski, fashionable and sports outfits, restaurants
and cafes. Groove at Central World is an adjacent zone
filled with shops, restaurants, pubs and hip chic bars.
There are 2 shrines: Ganesha and Trimurti on the
ground in front of Central World.
GAYSORN VILLAGE
The famous towers—Amarin Plaza, Gaysorn Tower
and Gaysorn Center—are under the umbrella of
Gaysorn Village. An inter-tower walkway, fondly called
Gaysorn Cocoon, links the 3 towers for more convenient
shopping.
