Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Ketchikan and transfer to your hotel. The balance of the day is yours.
Day 2: Transfer by floatplane to the Waterfall Resort on Prince of Wales Island, located in
the rainforest that defines most of Alaska’s Inside Passage. Head out for an exhilarating
afternoon of fishing with lunch on board. Expert U.S. Coast Guard licensed guides will
be your new best friends on the water, and the fishing cruisers are equipped for comfort
and include an arsenal of field-tested equipment. Return to the resort, and settle into
your accommodations. Take a walk to view the nearby waterfall, then savor an Alaskan
inspired buffet dinner. In the evenings at the resort, The Lagoon Saloon opens for fun and
laughter; a place to swap fishing stories, taste a local brew or play a game of pool. (Meals:
Lunch, Dinner)
Day 3: After an early breakfast, meet your guide to head out for a full day of fishing. Off
the island’s craggy western shore, a nutrient-rich spring runoff and a confluence of ocean
currents create an ideal habitat for seasonal runs of king or silver salmon, as well as halibut,
lingcod, and more. Return to the resort this afternoon. (B,L,D)
Day 4: Today could be the day you reel in the fish that makes the King of Kings Salmon
Tournament leaderboard! Following the excursion, return to the resort for dinner. (B,L,D)
Day 5: Take an early morning opportunity to increase your bounty or choose to relax and
enjoy the views. Return in time for the catch to be trimmed and packaged. Enjoy lunch
before boarding the floatplane to return to Ketchikan for a two-night stay. (B,L)
Day 6: Sightseeing opportunities abound today in Ketchikan. Choose to stroll the
boarded walkways along famous Creek Street, glide along the Misty Fjords, take to
the tree-tops on the Bear Creek Zipline or visit nearby Saxman Totem Village*. Enjoy a
Farewell Dinner with the group this evening. (B,D)
Day 7: Transfer to the airport in Ketchikan for your flights home. (B)
*Additional costs apply for optional excursions.
