Wed, June 3: Overnight at a local hotel in Ketchikan, <strong>Alaska</strong>.<br />

Thu, June 4: After breakfast, transfer to the pier to board <strong>Alaska</strong>n Dream Cruise<br />

Line’s Chichagof Dream. Sleek, stylish and newly renovated, she holds just seventy-six<br />

passengers for a nice intimate appeal. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)<br />

Fri, June 5: Today the cultures of the Metlakatla Indian Community surround you<br />

on Annette Island. Visit a traditional longhouse, and enjoy a ceremonial dance. Later,<br />

glide beneath the 3,000-foot glacier-sculpted cliffs of the Misty Fjords. (B,L,D)<br />

Sat, June 6: Experience the frontier spirit of <strong>Alaska</strong>’s timber years in Thorne Bay, on<br />

the eastern side of Prince of Wales Island. Meet resident artisans and enjoy a walking<br />

tour of the town. In Kasaan, walk a forested path laden with intricately carved totem<br />

poles to the Chief Son-i-Hat Whale House, the only remaining traditional Haida<br />

Sun, June 7: Visit Wrangell, the only town in <strong>Alaska</strong> that was ruled by four nations.<br />

See Petroglyph Beach, which contains the highest concentration of petroglyphs in<br />

Mon, June 8: Today, scout for humpback whales and other marine mammals in<br />

Tue, June 9: Journey through Tracy Arm–Fords Terror Wilderness, a place<br />

naturalist John Muir called “a wild, unfinished Yosemite.” Renowned for its pristine<br />

waterfalls, towering icebergs, abundant harbor seals, and granite cliffs that rise from<br />
