gave His only-begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not<br />

perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16. Let <strong>the</strong> sweet story of<br />

Bethlehem be repeated. Present be<strong>for</strong>e <strong>the</strong> children Jesus, as a child obedient<br />

to His parents, as a youth faithful and industrious, helping to support <strong>the</strong><br />

family. Thus you can teach <strong>the</strong>m that <strong>the</strong> Saviour knows <strong>the</strong> trials,<br />

perplexities, and temptations, <strong>the</strong> hopes and joys, of <strong>the</strong> young, and that He<br />

can give <strong>the</strong>m sympathy and help. From time to time read with <strong>the</strong>m <strong>the</strong><br />

interesting stories in Bible history. Question as to what <strong>the</strong>y have learned in<br />

<strong>the</strong> Sabbath school, and study with <strong>the</strong>m <strong>the</strong> next Sabbath's lesson.<br />

Upon <strong>the</strong> Sabbath <strong>the</strong>re should be a solemn dedication of <strong>the</strong> family to<br />

God. The commandment includes all within our gates; all <strong>the</strong> inmates of <strong>the</strong><br />

house are to lay aside <strong>the</strong>ir worldly business, and employ <strong>the</strong> sacred hours in<br />

devotion. Let all unite to honor God by cheerful service upon his holy day.<br />

"O Come Let Us Worship <strong>the</strong> Lord"<br />

Christ has said: "Where two or three are ga<strong>the</strong>red toge<strong>the</strong>r in My name,<br />

<strong>the</strong>re am I in <strong>the</strong> midst of <strong>the</strong>m." Mat<strong>the</strong>w 18:20. Wherever <strong>the</strong>re are as<br />

many as two or three believers, let <strong>the</strong>m meet toge<strong>the</strong>r on <strong>the</strong> Sabbath to<br />

claim <strong>the</strong> Lord's promise.<br />

The little companies assembled to worship God on His holy day have a<br />

right to claim <strong>the</strong> rich blessing of Jehovah. They should believe that <strong>the</strong> Lord<br />

Jesus is an honored guest in <strong>the</strong>ir assemblies. Every true worshiper who<br />

keeps holy <strong>the</strong> Sabbath should claim <strong>the</strong> promise: "That ye may know that I<br />

am <strong>the</strong> Lord that doth sanctify you." Exodus 31:13.<br />

The Sabbath was made <strong>for</strong> man, to be a blessing to him by calling his<br />

mind from secular labor to contemplate <strong>the</strong> goodness and glory of God. It is<br />

necessary that <strong>the</strong> people of God assemble to talk of Him, to interchange<br />

thoughts and ideas in regard to <strong>the</strong> truths contained in His word, and to<br />
