had recently undergone a D&C
procedure.
Diagnoses: Female Pelvis

confirms hematometros.

lack of enhancement within
the endometrial cavity .
Two small fibroids are
incidentally noted st. The
cause of hematometros was a
cervical carcinoma, visible as
subtle hypoenhancement with
ill-defined borders .

part of a small-bowel series in
a young female with
abdominal pain and suspected
inflammatory bowel disease
shows displacement of bowel
from the lower abdomen ,
suggesting an underlying
mass. (Right) Coronal T1-
weighted MR in the same
patient reveals a dilated
uterus ſt and vagina filled
with high signal intensity
material , consistent with
hematometrocolpos. The
patient was diagnosed with
imperforate hymen.
