Renal Lymphoma
(Left) Longitudinal ultrasound
shows the left kidney ſt
surrounded by a thick
perirenal rind of tumor .
Percutaneous biopsy showed
B-cell lymphoma. (Right) CECT
of the same patient with B-cell
lymphoma shows the perirenal
lymphoma infiltrating the
kidney ſt. There are patent
arteries within the
perirenal mass, which helps
distinguish solid tumor from
perirenal hemorrhage.
Diagnoses: Urinary Tract
(Left) Transverse color
Doppler US shows renal hilar
follicular lymphoma . The
mass is hypovascular and
displaces hilar vessels ſt.
(Right) Axial fused FDG
PET/CT shows follicular
lymphoma. There is avid FDG
uptake (SUV = 22) in the mass
at the left renal hilum .
Pathologic nodes were also
present in the pelvis and
mesentery (not shown).
(Left) Longitudinal US of the
right renal fossa in patient
with HIV infection shows a
heterogenous solid mass ,
which was large B-cell
lymphoma on biopsy. No
normal kidney is seen. The
psoas muscle is preserved ſt.
(Right) Axial T1 FS MR of the
same patient with large B-cell
lymphoma shows a rim of
preserved renal tissue ſt
anterior to the large mass .
The patient could not receive
intravenous contrast because
of poor renal function.
