Approach to Urinary Tract Sonography<br />

This polypoid mass with<br />

internal vascularity was an<br />

incidental finding in a 62-yearold<br />

woman. Cystoscopy<br />

confirmed papillary urothelial<br />

carcinoma.<br />

Diagnoses: Urinary Tract<br />

(Left) This tiny bladder mass<br />

caused hematuria in a 25<br />

year old. (Right) Excretory<br />

phase CT shows a small<br />

polypoid mass near the<br />

right ureteral orifice. The mass<br />

was excised <strong>and</strong> the diagnosis<br />

was papillary urothelial<br />

neoplasm of low malignant<br />

potential (PUNLMP).<br />

(Left) Color Doppler US shows<br />

thick <strong>and</strong> irregular but<br />

avascular septations st within<br />

the bladder lumen in a patient<br />

with hemorrhagic cystitis.<br />

(Right) Coronal CT in the same<br />

patient a few days later shows<br />

a large hematoma in the<br />

bladder lumen , as well as<br />

gas ſt introduced at the time<br />

of Foley catheter placement.<br />
