opacification of the lymph channels <strong>and</strong> nodes. Note the subcentimeter (short axis) diameter of these normal retroperitoneal lymph<br />

nodes. (Middle) Lymphatic channels <strong>and</strong> lymph nodes parallel the course of major blood vessels <strong>and</strong> share similar names, such as these<br />

common iliac nodes. (Bottom) With the availability of CT, MR, <strong>and</strong> PET/CT, lymphangiograms are rarely performed; however, they<br />

provide a unique depiction of the lymphatic system.<br />
