The IIDA New England Chapter Yearbook is an annual publication, issued in conjunction with the Chapter's Annual Meeting & Volunteer Celebration each June. A concept that originated in early 2015, the goal of the IIDA NE Yearbook remains the same: to recognize the exceptional individuals, past and present, who have shaped our Chapter.

Event Name: Annual Holiday Craft Night<br />

Charity Supported: The Italian Home for Children (Jamaica Plain, MA), Heading Home<br />
Total Money Raised: Over 100 ornaments and decorations produced and 20 Home Essentials<br />
Baskets (valued at $250/each) collected!<br />
Event Highlight: Each team came up with a theme and decorations. The Whoville trees were<br />
taller than most of our volunteers!<br />
Each year, over 100 designers, industry members and friends come together to create<br />
amazing holiday decorations and this year was no different - it is our most attended event!<br />
The decorations created are used to decorate the Italian Home for Children, a residential<br />
program located in Jamaica Plain for children with emotional and behavorial disorders. We<br />
also collect donation baskets (this year we collected home essentials: bedding, towels, etc.)<br />
for Heading Home, Boston’s leading provider of housing and support for families with children<br />
and individuals.<br />

We split into teams to decorate each of the five<br />
living rooms at the Home - all of which included<br />
their own fireplace and holiday tree. This year, each<br />
room had its own festive theme; Candyland, Winter<br />
Wonderland, Whoville, The North Pole and Toyland<br />
which brought some extra energy and excitement<br />
to the day as each theme came to life! This is the<br />
committee’s favorite day of the year.<br />
