Autumn and Winter
Season 2019

WELCOME TO THE AUTUMN WINTER 2019 SEASON AT
THE BRIDGE HOUSE THEATRE AND WARWICK HALL
This Autumn Season is probably our most ambitious yet as we head towards our 20th
anniversary year, which will feature a dynamic programme of events and our second Discovery
Festival in June 2020. Please keep an eye on our website as details are announced in the
coming weeks.
The Bridge House Theatre is proving a popular venue for comedy and we are thrilled to have
George Egg joining us in September. Expect a hilarious night and even food to sample at the
end. We have secured a night of Geoff Norcott’s sharp take on politics and other contentious
subjects. Enjoy these two brilliant comedians before they get too big for us!
From their huge festival success Box Tale Soup debut in Warwick with their new adaptation
of Henry James’ disturbing story The Turn of the Screw, featuring clever puppetry and a
haunting original soundtrack. Blackeyed Theatre remain one of our most popular visiting
companies (Frankenstein 2017) and their latest production of Jane Eyre will be with us for two
shows in November.
Former indie musician Nick Cope has a fanatical following for his surrealist and playful music
for children and their families and we are delighted he will be performing here in October.
Expect a joyful afternoon with memorable songs that will become your family journey
soundtrack.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of his London club opening we are very fortunate to have
the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars coming to Warwick Hall to guide us on a musical tour of this
incredible musical institution. This will be an unmissable event and very popular so get your
booking in early.
After the incredible success of Les Miserables we are excited to be producing the comic pop/
rock musical Little Shop of Horrors with the senior students from Warwick and King’s High
School in November. The 6 show run will feature some of our very best performers in this
iconic and tremendously enjoyable musical masterpiece.
We haven’t produced a major Christmas show for some years so we are genuinely thrilled
to be working in association with Smoking Apples on a wonderful stage adaptation of A
Christmas Carol in the build up to the festive season. They will bring their award-winning
puppetry alongside live actors and transform the theatre and foyer into Victorian London.
On behalf of the whole team, I’d like to take this opportunity to continue to thank you for
supporting the Bridge House Theatre and Warwick Hall and we look forward to welcoming
you here soon.
