PHIL MAUGER has made a canny
electioneering move (see page 3).
The Maugers Contracting boss, who is
standing against Glenn Livingstone in the
Burwood Ward in October’s local body
elections, is obviously a keen reader of
Pegasus Post. We highlighted the shingle pile in the car park
opposite The Bower on New Brighton Rd in our issue last week.
So Mauger got his digger and cleaned the shingle up and
posted what he had done on his Facebook page.
Livingstone says it is blatant electioneering, and it probably
was.
But a smart move nonetheless.
The fact the shingle pile is in the Coastal Ward, not Burwood,
is a minor glitch. Mauger has got the exposure he wanted.
