team to the Canterbury junior
interclub matchplay title.
They defeated Russley Blue’s
squad of Phong Nguyen,
Cooper Moore, Ethan Lam and
Yash Naicker, 3-1 in the final
at Templeton recently in cool
conditions, with the course in
great order.
After a delay due to a heavy
frost, all matches got under
way and were played in great
spirit.
All of the matches were tight,
with the last two being decided
on the 17th and 18th holes,
meaning the final could have
gone either way.
In the end, the Christchurch
team prevailed after a great
display of power hitting by Mika,
while Anika continuing to apply
pressure down the stretch in her
match.
