DIANTHUS hybrid
Paint the Town
Paint the Town is the Dianthus series you’ve been looking
for if you have hot Summers. Single magenta pink and
fuchsia with lavender center flowers are incredibly vibrant,
contrasting nicely with its glaucous blue foliage. Flowers
appear in early Summer, and a quick shearing after flowering
will encourage light rebloom through early Fall.
GROWING TIPS
» Sensitive to high salt levels.
» It is best to plant small plugs in mid to late Summer. The results will be a
much fuller plant in Spring with better flower performance.
» Grow under high light; long days will enhance growth.
» When the pH is higher than 6.2 there is a much greater chance of iron
deficiency.
» Vernalization is needed for flowering and is beneficial for bulking.
» Needs 50 – 100 ppm N per irrigation.
