» Great in containers of all kinds and good for use in the landscape as well.
» Good air circulation, control of humidity, and good sanitation practices
are critical. Good sanitation practices include keeping greenhouses clean
at all times, eliminating weeds and debris, disinfecting equipment and
greenhouses as often as possible, and keeping hose ends off the floor.
» PGRS – Begin with spray of B-Nine (Daminozide) at 2,500 ppm. Holding
can be done using a Bonzi (Paclobutrazol) drench of 1-3 ppm. Also responds
to Sumagic sprays at 3-5 ppm or Sumagic drench at 0.25 ppm. Check
manufacturer’s labels for approved rates and usage recommendations.
» Good water management practices are critical to healthy plant growth.
» Treat with preventative broad spectrum fungicidal drench at transplant.
» Scout crops regularly (at least once a week) for disease development.
