Duties of a Class Monitor
17) The monitor, with the help of two other students, should check the I-pads and
almanacs.
18) The monitor, with the help of two other students, should check the uniform of all the
other students.
19) The monitor should also see to it that the students do not operate the I-pads in the
absence of the teacher.
20) The monitor should highlight the names of the well disciplined students.
21) The monitor should switch off the lights and AC before leaving the classroom.
22) The monitor should take care of the cleanliness of the classroom.
Prefects' Duties
It should be remembered that no prefect is ever off duty altogether. Though individual
prefects are detailed for particular tasks, it is the duty of the whole body of prefects to see
that they are performed, The head prefects are to ensure that prefects are at duty at all
appropriate times, It is the responsibility of all prefects, whether detailed for duty or not,
to see that school rules are obeyed and good standards of behaviour are maintained at all
times. Duties
1) Prefects should be on duty for the assembly as per the scheduled time.
2) Duty before assembly - Ensure silence and good order while approaching the
assembly hall.
3) Duty during assembly, see to it that the students coming late do not make noise.
4) Corridor duty after assembly - See that the order is maintained in the lower corridor
and staircase during the movement from the assembly hall to the class.

5) Break duty - Assist the duty masters by patrolling in the corridors. Ensure the litter is
deposited in the litter bins, avert the disorderly behaviour and assure that the classroom
discipline is maintained.
6) Lunchtime duty - Assist by patrolling in the corridors and the recreation area. Ensure
the litter is not deposited other than in the litter bins. Prevent disorderly behaviour and
make sure everyone finishes their lunch in time.
