monitors all these activities.<br />

10. There is an application called “DOCUMENTS”, where you can access the<br />

education bank.<br />

11. You can get the access of the contents at home by downloading them first from<br />

the bank.<br />

12. By this feature, iPad can also be considered as an E- Library!!!<br />

Evaluation System for GDGIS Students<br />

1. For Class XI, the assessment is done in accordance with CBSE prescribed norms<br />

which include practicals, class test, Periodic Assessment and Terminal examination.<br />

Weightage given to knowledge gained is 40% in the I term and 60% in the II term,<br />

A.S.L. is also the components of CBSE based evaluation in English. Two subjects<br />

compartment in class XI will be allowed to sit for retest. If a child gets less than 33%<br />

in more than three subjects, he will be detained in the same class.<br />

2. For class XII, Assessment is done, keeping the board result in mind. Regular<br />

evaluation is done through class tests, Periodic Assessment, Terminal Examination<br />

and Pre-Board Exam. Final examination will be administered strictly as per the board<br />

rules. To be entitled to appear in board exam, every student has to appear in all preboard<br />

exams as well as maintain minimum attendance of 75%.<br />

3. Promotion to class XII will be based on aggregate of all the tests, Term-I and Term-<br />

II as well as the child has to score minimum 33% marks both in theory and practicals<br />

separately for the final examination. Child will not be entitled to appear in exam if<br />

minimum attendance is less than 80%.<br />

Counseling, Examinations & Promotions<br />

for GDGIS Students<br />

1. Classes PG-I do not have any exams. It is informal assessment done periodically.<br />

2. Notebook carries 5 marks and subject enrichment marks are 5 for each subject for<br />

each Term.<br />

3. Class II-IV have term assessment of 100 marks & Term-I & Term-II of 50 marks<br />

each. 4. During the Academic year 2 Periodic assessments & 2 terminals are taken<br />

from Classes II-IX & XI.<br />
