Rules of Discipline for GDGIS Students
5. In case of illness or situation beyond control the child is allowed, but still every child is
liable to produce a leave application for the leave taken. In case of sickness Medical
Certificate, if out of station then Xerox of ticket and the invitation card for any functions
attended.
6. If a child is suffering from any contagious disease like: Conjunctivitis, Chicken pox,
measles should not come to school. The school will only allow on the permission letter
granted by a certified doctor.
7. A written application must be given by parents who want leave a week before the
actual leave.
8. No half day leaves will be entertained, except very genuine cases.
9. Monitors and prefects must abide by the duties given to them. Failure in executing the
duties may result in confiscation of their titles.
10. Not a single student should remain in the classroom during the games, activity
periods or practicals.
11. Any damage made in school by a student must be made good by the student who
caused it.
12. I pad usage must be done solely for the educational purposes and if in routine
checking illegal material is found, I Pads will be confiscated and will never be returned.
The student is liable to face punishment.
13. A.V room, Library, Auditorium can be used by students only under direct supervision
of a teacher.
14. Irregularity, disobedience, immoral conduct could result in the expulsion of the
student.
15. Strict actions will be taken on the use of vulgar language, bullying younger children
and other behavioural issues in the buses or in the school premises.
16. According to the nature of indiscipline an individual may be put in different stages
and respective cards may be given.
First Stage - Verbal Warning will be given. Second Stage - Log book entry Third
Stage - Blue Card - Parents to be called. Fourth Stage - Yellow Card - Parents to be
called, Issue of warning letter for suspension which can be for 3-7 days. Fifth Stage -
Red Card - Parents to be called, Issue of suspension for more than 7 days. Sixth
Stage - Parents to be called & expulsion of the student.
17. The school reserves the right of withdrawal of any student whose behaviour or
academic performance indicates an inability or unwillingness to meet the requirements
of the school or is an act of humiliation to school or others.
18. All the Goenkans should be proud of their school and should maintain the dignity and
decorum not only in school but also outside the school as well. They should prove
themselves the worthy ambassadors of the institution.
