Attendance Rules for GDGIS Students<br />
Consistent attendance in class is a critical component for students' academic success.<br />
Therefore, attendance policy and procedures have been carefully designed to encourage<br />
regular attendance.<br />
1. It is mandatory for every student to maintain an attendance of atleast 75% during the<br />
academic year failing which he/she will not be promoted to higher class as stated by<br />
CBSE.<br />
2. Yearly Working days : Pre Primary Section - 203 Primary Section - 224 Middle<br />
Section- 224 Higher Section- 224 is calculated by dividing the no. of days present by no.<br />
of working days<br />
3. 15% shortage in attendance can be condoned on account of Medical Grounds (To be<br />
validated with Medical Certificate)<br />
4. Proper leave application in the 'Single window Format' is to be submitted by the<br />
parents/guardians at the school 2days prior the leave. No other formats will be<br />
entertained.<br />
5. If the child is absent even for a day without any information, the leave application<br />
should be submitted duly signed by parents/guardian and should reach the school the<br />
very next day failing which the school will take strict action. (He/She will be marked<br />
absent till application is submitted) and result will be withheld if it is repeated thrice in a<br />
semester.<br />
6. Early leaves and Half days will not be entertained without 2days prior information.<br />
7. Re-test of any exam will not be taken in any circumstance, other than medical grounds.<br />
8. Repeated Absence without permission or unexplained absence for more than 15<br />
consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls.<br />
Renewal of admission may be allowed on the payment of the re- admission fees of Rs<br />
25000/- on the discretion of the Principal.<br />
Rules of Discipline for GDGIS Students<br />
1. Proper discipline must be maintained to make the environment conducive enough<br />
for learning activity<br />
2. Orderliness, Silence, etiquettes must be maintained when moving around the school<br />
campus. Any sort of misbehaviour will be strictly acted upon.<br />
3. Proper dress code, neatness, manners must be a daily practice.<br />
4. Children must be regular in school. A child must have 75% attendance to appear for<br />
the exams otherwise he/she may not be able to sit for the exams.<br />
