BIKER THE CLOCK
BIKER THE CLOCK
by Momma Iz
How many miles have you logged? How many events? How
many runs, parties, weddings, funerals? Are you counting? No,
your laying on your bike, catching some rays, not happy, not sad
but content. Content to be riding, some days no destination is the
best destination. You don't look at your watch or phone. You look
to the sky, you listen to your gut, and you go when you feel like
sitting up. You look in the mirror, your beard is near your chest or
your laugh lines got a little longer. That's how many miles you've
done, and until your heart stops beating thats how many more you'll
do.

I welcomed them as guests,
but they left as family.
CRAFTY
BASTARD
CUSTOM LEATHER TOOLING
by
DICKIE
Who doesn't love custom tooling. Why wait for the show season to find a custom
tooler. Well now you don't have to, Crafty Bastard is a local East Coast tooler that can
be reached on Facebook at Crafty Bastard. If you think of it, he can tool it.

A DAY IN BIKER
LIFE
B Y M O M M A I Z
I don't believe in there is a reason
for everything. I believe we are
who we are. Maybe someone can
be groomed to go all the way to
Harvard and maybe some won't. I
do believe no matter what, we will
still be who we were born to be.
Some see a suit on a bike, a kid on
a bike, a woman on a bike, rich or
poor, educated or not, built or
bought. The heart says ride and
together we make the biker
community.

I
CAMP
Janet Truax
Campership Fund
Janet Truax was the summer registrar for Camp Pinnacle for many
years. As the person running registration, Miss Janet made sure every
child who wanted to come to camp was able to do just that. She would
call her church and other friends and say, "this child needs help going
to camp. What can you do?" She made sure scholarship money was
available. She passed at the age of 81 and right to the end she kept up
the fight for kids to be able to come to camp.
Every year 10-20 kids are able to experience the beauty and
adventure at Camp Pinnacle. From horses to motorcycles and fishing
ponds to talent show's, along with s'mores, fireside singing, and the
message of God's love for all of us... it's an amazing experience for
these kids. We would like to do that again this year with your help.
Camperships go to children in single parent homes, families in
trauma, and larger families with financial need. If you would like to
donate to the fund or apply for a scholarship, please contact Kayla
Trianni at (528)872-9100 or e-mail info@camppinnacle.org

Camp Pinnacle
Benefit
by Momma Iz
If success can be rated by the smiles on a few kids faces
then the Camp Pinnacle Benefit at the Blackthorne Resort this
spring was just that, a success. The benefit was able to raise
enough money to send a few children to this wonderful
Christian summer camp nestled in the beautiful Helderburg
Mountains of New York.
My partner in crime Dawn Belarge recieved so many
donations it was almost an endless array of prizes.
Outtatheblue DJ played great music and also had many
giveaways. BBQ chicken was delivered by Wagon Wheel of
Schenectady. Turnout was great and we raised many
donations for this great cause but what warmed my heart the
most is when you see your friends and supporters arrive
which for many it's not that easy. There are always bike
events going on every weekend and it spreads people very
thin, everybody is always doing something. People showing
up at events, saying hi then moving on, trying to show respect
to all so when they show up just know that it's more than
saying hi to those they chose to see. They made time out of a
hectic day, got on their bikes for the 4th or 5th time and made
it safely to your event.
So, for that we should (I know I am) be forever grateful. The
crew at Twist n Throttle Magazine loves you all.

THE
TANK
Filled With Memories

is upon us. We just observed Memorial Day, a day to remember all those
Summer
gave their lives so that we as Americans can continue to experience freedom.
who
we know it, July 4th will be here. Once again this is a day to remember the
Before
that was won for us by the American Revolution. In September, we will
freedom
Labor Day when we will remember all of those in the Labor movement who
observe
so that we can enjoy the jobs and way of living that we have. In all of this
sacrificed
of those who fought and sacrificed so that we could have our freedoms,
remembering
need to remember the One who paid the price so that we can have eternal
we
Jesus came to earth, lived His life, and then died a horrible death so that we
freedom.
have the ultimate freedom. Romans 6:23 says “the wages of sin is death (eternal
can
but the gift of God is eternal life (eternal freedom) in Jesus Christ our
slavery),
If you have any questions about this eternal freedom and how to get it, please
Lord”.
out to a member of MELCHiZEDEKS MC or any of the other Christian biker
reach
You will see us at most events. We are here for you. You can also pray
organizations.
following prayer: “Dear Jesus, I am a sinner who is stuck in eternal slavery, I
the
You to come into my heart and take it over. I want the eternal freedom that
invite
You can give. Please become the Lord of my life. Amen”. Please let us know if
only
have prayed for this eternal freedom so that we can help you take the next step.
you
Heavenly Father, we thank You for this time of year when we get to ride and
Dear
spend time remembering all of those that have gone before us. Let us also
to
all that You have done for us. And for those who want to know Jesus,
remember
Son, and the eternal freedom that he can bring, we pray that they will reach out
PIT STOP'S
Against
the
Wind
by Momma Iz & Pit
What was going on in the USA in the 1940's. Women were mostly
homemakers, although many(most) rose to the occasion during World War II.
They manned factories, and kept this country strong. I am never in shock when
a women does something men generally do, I am actually shocked when they
don't.
This is more a story of a woman breaking barriers, it's a story of
heartache, perseverance, love, and family. How many Harley dealers are
named for the town, city, or state they are in? Lot's right ! Well some are
named after a family and Tramontin Harley Davidson is one and is the only one
in New Jersey that can claim 100 years of family.
So we go back in time to Clifton New Jersey where a couple owned a
motorcycle shop. That couple would have two children Gloria and Arthur. Sadly
their father Red Tramontin would pass in a motorcycle accident. It was 1928, a
car makes makes a left into a bike. I sit here shaking my head, thinking, even
then.
Gloria and Arthur's mom Pierina take over the shop and keep it going. It
eventually becomes a Harley dealership, and somewhere around 1943 it's
Arthur who tells his sister she should start riding, she doesn't want to,
girls don't ride she thinks. Gloria get's her first bike, an Bonneville Scout.
Now i know Gloria is a legend in the biker community and God bless
her, but we must pay homage to her mother who endured heartache and
kept the business afloat. To her brother, who did not see a girl who
shouldn't but a girl who should. All of that in the 1940's is amazing to me.
Arthur eventually bought land in Hope New Jersey in 1973 before Route
80 was even built. It is the home of Tramontin Harley Davidson. It is
where you may see Gloria Tramontin Struck pulling in on her Harley at
93 years young. You want to shake her hand because she is everything
the motorcycle community stands for, heartache, perseverance, love,
and family.
