Alpenréduits errichtet. Die «Zitadelle der Alpen»<br />
blieb über 50 Jahre einsatzbereit. 2012 eröffnete<br />
die Fondazione Sasso San Gottardo ihr Museum,<br />
das seither über 100’000 Gäste besucht haben.<br />

old artillery factory, which was built in 1941 as<br />
the centrepiece of the Alpenréduit (retreat to the<br />
mountains). This “Citadel of the Alps” remained<br />
operational for over 50 years. In 2012, the Sasso<br />
San Gottardo Foundation opened its museum,<br />
which has drawn over 100,000 visitors since.<br />
