Die Sonne hat es noch kaum über den Pazolastock geschafft,<br />
und bereits herrscht auf dem Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course reges<br />
Treiben. Golferinnen und Golfer bereiten sich auf eine abwechslungsreiche<br />
Runde auf dem 18-Loch-Platz vor. Die Vorfreude auf das<br />
Spiel ist fast greifbar. Die Greenkeeper ihrerseits sind schon seit dem<br />
Morgen grauen unterwegs, um die Anlage perfekt herzurichten.<br />
Die Pin-Positionen – dort, wo die Fahne steht, um das Loch zu<br />
markieren – mussten versetzt und die Greens vorschriftsgemäss<br />
gemäht werden. In den Bunkern schmiegen sich die Sandkörner so<br />
ordentlich aneinander, als hätte sie jemand einzeln von Hand platziert.<br />
Die Spielerinnen und Spieler haben sich unterdessen angemeldet<br />
und sind bereit für die ersten 9 Löcher. Der Platz ist weitläufig.<br />
Neben der Konzentration beim Spiel kommt eine beachtliche<br />
Gehdistanz hinzu. So wird eine Golfrunde in Andermatt auch zur<br />
sportlichen Herausforderung.<br />
Das «House of Swiss Golf» kürt jedes Jahr einen Platz zum besten<br />
Golfplatz der Schweiz. Abstimmen dürfen dabei ausschliesslich<br />
Golferinnen und Golfer. Um so grösser ist die Freude, dass dem noch<br />
jungen Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course die Ehre des ersten Rangs<br />
bei den Swiss Golf Awards zuteil wurde. «Dieser Erfolg spiegelt<br />
den grossen Einsatz und die tolle Arbeit der vergangenen Jahre<br />
wider», erklärt Dani Speer, Golf Operation Manager beim<br />
Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course.<br />
Zudem ist man nicht nur in der Schweiz auf den alpinen<br />
Andermatter Golfplatz aufmerksam geworden:<br />
Bereits zum dritten Mal in Folge hat er bei den World<br />
Golf Awards den Spitzenrang belegt.<br />

Golfers are getting ready for an interesting round on the 18-hole<br />
course. The anticipation of the game is almost tangible. For their part,<br />
the greenkeepers have been in action since dawn to make sure the<br />
course is perfectly prepared. The pin positions – where the flag stands<br />
to mark the hole – had to be moved and the greens mown according to<br />
the rules. In the bunkers, the grains of sand nestle together as neatly<br />
as if they'd been placed individually by hand. Meanwhile, the players<br />
have registered and are ready for the first 9 holes. It is an expansive<br />
course. As well as concentrating on the game, there is a lot of walking<br />
to do, which makes a round of golf in Andermatt an even greater<br />
sporting challenge.<br />
Every year, the “House of Swiss Golf” nominates a course as the best<br />
golf course in Switzerland. Only golfers are allowed to vote – all the<br />
more reason to be delighted that the young Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf<br />
Course has been awarded the honour of first place at the Swiss Golf<br />
Awards. “This success reflects the tremendous commitment and great<br />
work of the recent years,” says Dani Speer, Golf Operation Manager<br />
at the Andermatt Swiss Alps Golf Course.<br />
The Andermatt alpine golf course has also attracted attention beyond<br />
Switzerland. For the third time in a row, it has been ranked at the top in<br />
the World Golf Awards.<br />
