Was 1943 mit einer Soldatenbaracke begann, zeigt sich heute als<br />
komfortable Bergunterkunft. Die leicht zugängliche Maighelshütte<br />
liegt im Oberalpgebiet, nahe der berühmten Rheinquelle.<br />
Rundum laden mehrere kleine Bergseen zur Erfrischung ein.<br />
Wer lange Wanderungen oder herausfordernde Alpin- und<br />
Klettertouren mag, weiss die modern ausgestattete Maighelshütte<br />
als idealen Etappenort für mehrtägige Aktivitäten zu<br />
schätzen. Unter den Tagesausflüglern trifft man hier viele<br />
Bikerinnen und Biker, die von Andermatt aus via Unteralptal und<br />
Maighelspass zur Hütte und weiter zum Oberalppass strampeln.<br />

What began in 1943 as a soldiers’ barracks is now a comfortable<br />
mountain shelter. Easy to access, the Maighelshütte is located in<br />
the Oberalp area, near the famous source of the Rhine. It is<br />
surrounded by several small mountain lakes that invite you to<br />
take a dip. If you like long hikes or challenging alpine and climbing<br />
tours, you will appreciate the modern Maighelshütte as an ideal<br />
stopover for activities lasting several days. Among the day<br />
trippers you will meet lots of cyclists who pedal from Andermatt<br />
via the Unteralp Valley and Maighels Pass to the hut and on<br />
to the Oberalp Pass.<br />
