for the BJP in the national elections, 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today 

thanked the nation in a tweet and praised 

party workers for their "determination, 

perseverance and hardwork". 

The PM said that "together we will 

build a strong and inclusive India". Leads 

show that PM Modi's BJP will again get a 

clear majority on its own by winning 302 

seats, which is better than the 282 seats it 

had won in the 2014 general elections. 

"Thank you India! The faith 

placed in our alliance is humbling 

and gives us strength to work even 

harder to fulfil people's aspirations. 

I salute every BJP Karyakarta for 

their determination, perseverance 

and hardwork. They went home 

to home, elaborating on our 

development agenda," the PM 

tweeted this evening. 

In another tweet, the PM said 

the country will grow and prosper 

together. "India wins yet again," he 

added. 

BJP chief Amit Shah today said the 

massive win is the victory of PM Modi's 

development and the people's trust in him.

is the victory of the hopes of youths, 

the poor, and farmers. This massive

evaluating Jet 

Airways opportunity 

The Hinduja Group is evaluating a bid 

for the cash-strapped Jet Airways, news 

agency Reuters reported. A State Bank 

of India-led consortium of lenders is 

struggling to find a buyer for the airline 

which ceased operations around midlast 

month due to acute liquidity crisis. 

Jet Airways shares were up over 7% in 

afternoon trade. 

Jet Airways stopped operations 

in mid-April after banks refused to 

extend emergency funding. Jet, once 

the biggest private carrier in the 

country, owes vast sums to its lessors, 

employees, fuel suppliers and other 

parties. It stopped all flights from April 

17 after its lenders refused to give it any 

more funds to keep the carrier flying. 

Jet, also saddled with roughly $1.2 

billion in bank debt, was crippled by 

mounting losses as it attempted to 

compete with low-cost rivals Interglobeowned 

IndiGo, SpiceJet Ltd and Wadia 

Group-owned GoAir. 

It has also lost hundreds of pilots, 

cabin crew and engineers to rivals and 

seen its valuable slots reallocated to 

rivals, further eroding any residual 

value and hopes of new investors 

stepping in to rescue the airline. 

Boeing 

acknowledges 

defects in 737 MAX 

simulator software 

Boeing acknowledged Saturday it had 

to correct defects in its flight simulator 

software used to train pilots to fly the 

737 MAX, the aircraft model involved 

in two deadly crashes that killed 346 

people. 

"Boeing has made corrections to the 

737 MAX simulator software and has 

provided additional information to 

device operators to ensure that the 

simulator experience is representative 

across different flight conditions," the 

company said in a statement. 

"These changes will improve the 

simulation of force loads on the manual 

trim wheel. Boeing is working closely 

with the device manufacturers and 

regulators on these changes and 

improvements, and to ensure that 

customer training is not disrupted." 

Reliance Retail set to 

disrupt Amazon, Walmart- 

Flipkart: Report 

Reliance Retail's upcoming entry into 

the online retail sector is the biggest 

challenge for Amazon and Walmart- 

Flipkart as the Mukesh Ambani-led 

behemoth is well positioned to create 

massive disruption in the market, a 

new report has stressed. 

According to the global market 

research firm Forrester, the online 

retail sales in India will grow at a 

five-year CAGR of 25.8 per cent to 

reach $85 billion by 2023, despite the 

hiccups of demonetization in 2016, GST 

in 2017 and the governmental changes 

in eCommerce policy announced last 

December. 

The time is ripe for Reliance Retail, 

which operates 10,415 stores in more 

than 6,600 cities, with 500 million 

annual footfalls - giving the company 

the kind of scale required to swiftly 

launch India-based operations. 

"One of the things that will trouble 

Amazon and Flipkart is Reliance's 

history of launching operations via 

massive discounts," Satish Meena, 

senior forecast analyst at Forrester 

Research, said on Tuesday. 

Reliance is fast working on creating 

the world's largest online-to-offline 

New Commerce Platform, according 

to Mukesh Ambani, Chairman 

and Managing Director, Reliance 

Industries. 

To compete with Amazon and 

Flipkart, Reliance will have to 

significantly improve the customer 

experience, both in stores and on its 

online channel, because discounts and 

cashbacks will not generate loyalty for 

online customers a" as we saw in the 

Paytm Mall case. 

Amazon has been the most popular 

online retailer since it surpassed 

Flipkart in 2016, although Flipkart is 

still the single-largest online retailer, 

with 31.9 per cent market share in 2018 

(38.4 per cent if you include Myntra and 

Jabong), closely followed by Amazon at 

31 per cent. 

US court stops 

adverse visa 

policy, gives 

relief to Indians 

NEW DELHI: A US district court has 

issued a preliminary injunction that 

prevents the United States citizenship 

and immigration services (USCIS) from 

implementing an adverse policy 

under which "unlawful presence" 

of international students (including 

their dependents, such as spouses and 

children) is computed retroactively. 

This action by the court, pending 

disposal of the lawsuit, is significant as 

unlawful presence can result in being 

barred from re-entering US for a certain 

period. It spells good news for the 2 

lakh odd students from India currently 

studying in the US. An individual who 

accrues more than 180 days of unlawful 

presence before departing from the US 

can be barred from reentry for three 

years. An individual unlawfully present 

in the US for more than a year is barred 

for 10 years. 

The order, dated May 3, relates to a 

lawsuit filed by several colleges, such as 

Guilford College, The New School and 

others, which TOI had reported in its 

October 26 edition. 

It is getting tougher for H-1B visa 

holders to switch jobs. Even if the new job 

is similar, the United States Citizenship 

and Immigration Services (USCIS), in 

several cases, has denied the application 

by the new employer on various grounds. 

The most common reason for denial is 

that the new position does not constitute 

a ‘specialty occupation’. 

Soon after the lawsuit was filed, Paul 

Hughes, partner at Mayer Brown, and cocounsel 

to the lawsuit had told TOI, that 

the objective was to protect the rights 

of international students. "The new 

USCIS policy, which upsets more than 

two decades of consistent immigration 

practice, is unlawful," he had stated. 

The subject matter of the suit is a 

policy memorandum issued by USCIS 

(which the court has currently blocked 

from being enforced), that came into 

effect from August 9, 2018. Under the 

revised policy, international students 

automatically begin to accrue "unlawful 

presence" in the US the day after they 

violate their "student status" even if their 

granted tenure of stay has not expired. 

The violation of student status could 

be owing to no fault of the student. Even 

a simple failure to update the designated 

school officer (DSO) of a change in 

address or a clerical error by the DSO 

in entering information into the Sevis 

system (database for international 

students) such as additional hours 

of on-site campus work beyond those 

permissible could result in a student 

being regarded as "out of status". 

The repercussions are extreme. For 

instance, if a student has unknowingly 

violated his or her student status, and 

this is discovered years later, it is 

likely that the 180-day or even 365-day 

period would have been crossed. The 

retroactive computation would mean 

that the student would be barred from 

re-entering the US for many years, 

jeopardising his or her studies or 

career.

five metre long and three metre wide.

portal of the Garhwal tourism, which 

has listed the Rudra meditation cave 

under list of tourist bungalows in the 

region. Once you click on the link, it 

shows the details of the cave which has 

numerous modern facilities. 

3: According to a Navbharat Times 

report published on May 19, the cost of 

accommodation inside the cave is Rs 

990 per night. The booking can be made 

only via the official site. One person 

can book the cave for three days. Photo 

ID is compulsory at the time of checkin, 

& check-out time is 12 noon 

4: Facilities inside the cave includes: 

electricity, drinking water; morning 

tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and 

dinner at prescribed timing which 

can be changed upon request. The 

cave offers complete isolation but 

in case of any emergency, Manager 

GMVN Kedarnath can be contacted 

any time for any assistance by a SIP 

phone, the official website says. The 

staff is deputed 24X7 to attend any 

requirement from the meditation cave.

Ministry of Tourism to have 

Russian interface by June end to 

help tourists from SCO nations: 

Swaraj 

India's Ministry of Tourism website 

would have a Russian interface by 

the end of next month and a 24x7 

tourist helpline in Russian language 

for the ease of tourists from the SCO 

countries, External Affairs Minister 

Sushma Swaraj announced 

Wednesday. 

The Shanghai Cooperation 

Organisation (SCO) was founded at 

a summit in Shanghai in 2001 by the 

presidents of Russia, China, Kyrgyz 

Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan 

and Uzbekistan. 

India was an observer at the 

SCO since 2005 and has generally 

participated in the ministerial-level 

meetings of the grouping which 

focus mainly on security and economic 

cooperation in the Eurasian region. 

India and Pakistan were granted the 

SCO membership in 2017. 

Addressing the meeting of Shanghai 

Cooperation Organisation Council of 

Foreign Ministers here in the Kyrgyz 

capital, Swaraj said it is her firm 

belief that people-to-people contacts 

play a major role in strengthening the 

relations between nations. 

"Tourism is one such catalyst. We 

can actively cooperate to promote it. 

We are sincerely committed to the 

implementation of the SCO Joint 

Action Plan for the development of 

cooperation in the field of tourism for 

2019-2020," Swaraj said. 

She said the Ministry of Tourism 

website would have a Russian interface 

by June end and a 24x7 tourist helpline 

in Russian language for the ease of 

tourists from the SCO countries. 

Most of the SCO nations are Russian 

speaking.

Professor Brian Cox has said humans 

will one day live on Mars and be the 

Martians of the future. 

The pop star-turned-physicist said 

Mars is the only planet that humans 

will be able to go to and that it must 

happen as people cannot remain on 

Earth forever. 

“It is actually the only place we can 

go beyond Earth,” he said.

“In any plausible scenario, there is 

nowhere else that humans can go to 

begin their step outwards from the 

planet, other than Mars. If you think 

of the other planets, there’s none of the 

others we can land on.” 

The presenter, 51, continued: “There 

may or not be Martians and we need to 

find out. 

China creates facial recognition 

app to tell pandas apart 

“But there will be Martians, if we are 

to have a future. 

“At some point we will be the 

Martians. That’s clear to me. Because 

we can’t stay here forever.”

strategy for human exploration and 

colonisation of Mars. It stated 2030 as 

the date of a crewed surface landing. 

Donald Trump has said he wants 

humans on Mars by 2033, but experts 

have now warned this is unlikely due 

to budget and political issues. 

Robert Howard, Head of the future space 

habitats lab at the Johnson Space Center 

in Houston, reportedly said it could be the 

2060s before humans land on Mars. 

However, Elon Musk believes he can 

send humans to the red planet as soon 

as 2024. The SpaceX CEO also believes 

humans living there could happen 

far quicker than previous estimates. 

Mr Musk is aiming for a series of 10 

launches to start a city there by 2050.

Fold issues fixed, 

likely to release 

next month 

After indefinitely delaying the release 

of Galaxy Fold due to reported display 

issues, Samsung has said that it will 

finally be announcing the new release 

date for its foldable phone next month. 

According to a report, the South Korean 

tech giant is testing out the redesigned 

model and is expected to launch the 

$2,000 worth device sometime in June. 

To tackle the issue related to the 

protective layer on the device's display, 

Samsung has reportedly concealed the 

edges of the screen guard under the 

frame of the device to prevent users 

from peeling it off. 

Further, to address the hinge problem, 

the company has reduced the gap at the 

bottom which allowed for dust and debris 

to enter the phone and cause damage. 

To recall, Samsung had suspended 

the release of Galaxy Fold after several 

reviewers reported display breaking 

issues on the company's foldable phone. 

The Galaxy Fold comes with two 

displays: a 4.58-inch HD+ (1960x840 pixels) 

external screen with 21:9 aspect ratio, 

and a foldable 7.3-inch QHD+ (2152x1536 

pixels) Infinity Flex internal display 

which offers a tablet-like experience. 

Scientists create a four-winged robot 

insect that flies with grace 

Bee+ is more poised than its two-winged counterparts. 

China has developed an app to track giant 

pandas using facial recognition software 

as a way to help conservationists tell the 

large, lumbering animals apart. 

Researchers also built a database with 

over 120,000 images and 10,000 video 

clips of giant pandas so they can be 

identified. Almost 10,000 panda images 

have been analyzed and annotated 

since the research began in 2017. 

"The app and database will help us 

gather more precise and well-rounded 

data on the population, distribution, 

ages, gender ratio, birth and deaths 

of wild pandas, who live in deep 

mountains and are hard to track," 

Chen Peng, a researcher at the China 

Conservation and Research Center for 

Giant Pandas, told Xinhua. 

The app was created by the China 

Conservation and Research Center for 

Giant Pandas along with researchers 

in Singapore Nanyang Technological 

university and Sichuan Normal 

University. 

China plans to build a Giant Panda 

National Park to encourage breeding 

among existing wild populations. The 

$1.6 billion reserve in the southwest of 

the country will be three times the size 

of Yellowstone National Park in the US. 

Giant pandas are slow to reproduce, 

which has led to their status as 

“vulnerable” on the International Union 

for Conservation of Nature's (IUCN) Red 

List, along with habitat loss. There are 

fewer than 2,000 living in the wild, with 

548 in captivity globally. 

It's difficult to make an insect-like flying 

robot -- realistic four-winged bots are 

typically too heavy, while lighter twowinged 

models tend to fly erratically. 

USC researchers have edged one step 

closer to the dream machine, however. 

They've created Bee+, a four-winged bot 

(pictured at right) that flies with more of 

the agility and poise of real insects while 

weighing just over 0.003oz. The trick 

was to drop earlier bimorph actuators, 

cantilevers made of two layers of 

piezoelectric material with a passive 

layer in between, with unimorphs that 

only have one piezoelectric layer. The 

four actuators combined weigh half as 

much as bimorphs would at just under 

0.002oz, reducing the wing loading and 

significantly improving control. 

The tiny flier can follow paths, dodge 

obstacles, perch and land. It's even 

simpler to build than the earlier twowinged 

model. 

There's still much, much more work to 

be done before there are robotic insects 

in service. Bee+ flies tethered, since that 

saves the team from factoring a battery 

into the design. Size is also a concern. 

While the robot is only slightly larger 

than a penny, it's still much larger and 

heavier than most real insects. 

This does solve one of the larger 

problems for minuscule flying robots, 

though. And importantly, bots at the 

size of Bee+ could still be useful for 

a number of tasks, such as scouting 

hazardous areas and locating survivors 

in collapsed buildings. The challenge is 

simply designing a robot that can carry 

a full payload while remaining small 

enough to fit into exceptionally tight 

spaces.

Los Angeles: ByteDance Ltd., owner of the 

popular video app TikTok, is developing 

a paid music service that will challenge 

industry leaders Spotify and Apple Music 

in emerging markets, according to 

people familiar with the matter. 

ByteDance expects to introduce 

the new app as early as this fall in a 

handful of territories, mostly poorer 

countries where paid music services 

have yet to garner large audiences, 

said the people, who asked not to be 

identified because the plans haven’t 

been announced. The company has 

already secured rights from T-Series 

and Times Music, two of India’s largest 

labels, according to executives with 

those companies. 

While the new app isn’t named after 

TikTok, ByteDance will try to convert 

some of TikTok’s audience into paying 

customers, the people said. TikTok and 

Douyin, its Chinese equivalent, have 

been downloaded more than 500 million 

times and have become two of the most 

influential apps in the contemporary 

music industry. 

ByteDance, based in Beijing, declined 

to comment. 

The new app will include a catalog 

of songs available on-demand, as well 

as video, and isn’t a clone of Spotify or 

Apple Music, according to the people. 

The app is far enough along that many 

music industry executives have been 

given demonstrations of it. 

ByteDance’s plans for a paid service 

were previously reported by the South 

China Morning Post, but the story 

made no mention of the timing of its 

release or the rights deals. 

ByteDance is already one of the

Houston Hologram Tour," the company 

revealed in a statement on Monday. 

The announcement comes on the heels 

of a separate deal between the singer's 

estate and Primary Wave Publishing last 

week, which is also expected to produce 

a series of new projects, including a new 

album, a possible Broadway musical and 

Vegas-style spectacle. 

"Whitney Houston was unquestionably 

one of the most important singers of any 

generation," BASE Hologram CEO Brian 

Becker said in a statement. 

The show will include master 

recordings of the late singer and feature 

a live band and backup singers. 

In an interview with Billboard, Becker 

revealed production has already started 

and the singer is expected to reappear 

before adoring fans longing to see her 

once again, or for the very first time, 

hit those stratospheric notes in "I Will 

Always Love You," sometime next year. 

In an interview with The New York 

Times, Houston's sister-in-law and 

estate executor explained that the 

aggressive marketing push is part of 

a strategy to monetize her legacy and 

simultaneously redeem the singer's 

reputation which suffered from stories 

of drug addiction.

Avengers: Endgame finally dethroned, as 

John Wick 3 takes no. 1 at US Box Office 

After three straight weeks at No. 1, 

Avengers: Endgame has finally been 

dethroned at the box office. 

The latest weekend numbers are in, 

and John Wick: Parabellum made $57 

million in the US/Canada this weekend 

to sit in the No. 1 position, according to 

Entertainment Weekly. Endgame was 

No. 1 with $29.4 million, while Detective 

Pikachu was No. 3 with $24.8 million. 

Parabellum's $57 million opening is the 

best-ever for the franchise, exceeding 

the first movie's opening-weekend 

haul of $14.4 million and the $30.4 

million that John Wick 2 took in back 

in 2017. Parabellum made $92.2 million 

from overseas markets, which brings 

its total opening-weekend box office 

performance to performance to more 

than $150 million for a very strong start. 

As for Endgame, the movie has now 

made $2.62 billion worldwide, which 

remains behind the biggest movie of 

all-time: Avatar ($2.78 billion). 

Poaching case: 

Fresh notices to 

Saif, Sonali, Tabu 

The Jodhpur bench of the Rajasthan High 

Court on Monday issued fresh notices to 

film stars Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, 

Tabu and Neelam Kothari on an appeal 

by the state government, challenging 

their acquittal by a trial court in a case of 

hunting two blackbucks in 1998. 

Notice was also issued to local 

Dushyant Singh who accompanied the 

actors when the poaching took place 

in Kankani village near Jodhpur in 

October 1998. 

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is the 

sole accused who was convicted in the 

case. The trial court had sentenced 

him to five years in jail on April 5 last 

year, while acquitting the five other coaccused. 

Khan is presently out on bail. 

A single judge bench of justice Manoj 

Kumar Garg issued notices to the 

respondents, seeking their reply within 

eight weeks. 

Earlier, the high court had on March 

11 issued notices to the five respondents 

on the state government's appeal, 

challenging their acquittal in the case. 

After the five file their replies, the 

state's appeal would be sent back to the 

session court for further hearing, as 

the first appeal to a magisterial court 

judgement lies in the sessions court, 

explained Bishnoi. 

The state had come to the high court 

aer the sessions court had taken 

objection to the late filing of the appeal 

by the state government, he said.

kick started shooting of their first film 

together Sadak 2, sequel of 1991 film Sadak

Tiger spotted 

at Goa’s only 

national park 

A tiger has been spotted at Goa’s only 

national park, Bhagwan Mahaveer 

National Park in South Goa, the State 

forest department said in a statement 

on Saturday. 

“The camera has recorded the 

presence of a tiger in Bhagwan 

Mahaveer National Park for the first 

time on May 14. This indicates that 

level of protection, quality of wildlife 

habitat and wildlife management 

practices in the national park are of 

high levels,” the statement by Range 

Forest Officer Paresh Porob said. 

It said that the forest department 

staffers were trying to track down the 

elusive cat for over a year at the park, 

which is spread over 240 sq km. 

Mr. Porob said on Saturday that 

the exploration was part of scientific 

documentation of the national park. 

“The tiger was recorded in the core 

area of the national park. High-level 

protection has provided ideal habitat 

for the monitoring of big cat being 

conducted by the field staff,” said Mr. 

Porob. 

This is the second major tiger 

spotting in the State. Tiger presence 

was earlier recorded in Mhadei 

Wildlife Sanctuary in North Goa. 

Late chief minister Manohar 

Parrikar had told the Goa Legislative 

Assembly last year that no “final 

decision” had been taken as far as 

setting up a tiger reserve in the State 

was concerned, even though National 

Tiger Conservation Authority had 

mooted a proposal for constitution of 

tiger reserve in Goa after the All-India 

Tiger Estimation survey in 2014.

minister Manohar Parrikar. 

The first bad news came for BJP with 

Siddharth Kunkoliencar going down 

to the fighting to Congress’ Babush 

Monseratte by 1758 votes. 

BAbush polled 8748 votes while 

Siddharth managed just 6990, GSM’s 

Subash Velingkar could manage just 

516 votes. Valmiki Naik of AAP bagged 

436 and NOTA polled 202 and Dilip 

Ghadi 13 and Vijay More 13. 

Thereafter the first good news 

came for BJP from Shiroda when the 

turncoat and BJP candidate Subash 

Shirodkar won by a slender margin of 

66 votes. 

His opponent Deepak Dhavalikar 

asked for re-counting but to no avail.

(2402), AAP’s Khandeparkar (231). 

In Mapusa, Joshua will continue

Joshua polled 11098 voted and Sudhir 

managed 9985 votes. NCP’s Sanjay 

Barde bagged 200 votes. NOTA got 

280 votes. Narsinha Sawant of GSM 

bagged 277. Shekhar Naik (242), Ashish 

Shirodkar (500), Sudesh Hasotikar (42). 

Similarly in Mandrem, another 

turncoat Dayanand Sopte defeated 

independent candidate Jit Arolkar by 

3943 votes.

plastic and other garbage if noticed on the beach 

Plastic and other pollutants litter the 

beaches of Goa, presenting a serious 

problem for the environment and for 

people’s health. Our beaches also suffer 

from periodic pollution via oil and tar 

balls washing up on shore. 

Many tourism industry forums are 

reporting a downturn in tourism. Some 

of the reason for this has to be increased 

pollutants on the beaches of Goa, 

including the burning of plastic waste. 

All plastic is derived from fossil fuels. 

The fossil fuel industry also impacts 

global warming, leading to accelerated 

climate change. This is a burning issue 

for all, especially coastal communities 

like Goa,with a predicted rise in sea 

levels caused by global warming. 

Earthday Everyday is one such 

group of cocerned citizens and local 

stakeholders that has come forward to 

help tackle this menace to society. 

The seed was planted one day in 

early April this year when Swapnil 

Naik of Gurubar & Ryan Volado of 

Bunkd Hostels in Anjuna took it onto 

themselves to clear up the oil and tar 

bal messl that washes up on shore 

every year. With the help of staff they 

cleared up a small stretch of beach that 

is in front of and near Gurubar.. 

This small act of awareness didn't 

go unnoticed and they were contacted 

by Banglanaatak dot com the India 

liason for Earthday Network, a global 

NGO that has started a massive global 

campaign called The Great Global 

Cleanup, who in turn invited them to 

coordinate beach clean up campaign in 

North Goa... 

Since then the duo have managed to 

bring together many other like minded 

stakeholders and citizens together 

under the Earthday Everyday banner 

and so far have cleant up Anjuna, 

Vagatore & Baga Beach and the 

adjoining Creek area. 

Swapnil Naik born on Anjuna 

beach and owner of guru bar which 

is located on the beach, sees the 

difference in the attitude of tourist and 

the change of quality of the coastline, 

there is plastic everywhere, dead 

ocean creatures wash up randomly 

on the beach, it’s very disheartening, 

because the tourism of goa is due 

it’s nature, beaches and sea food and 

as of today they are in a bad shape, 

which is affecting us and our living 

environment. 

He also mentioned that the number 

of foreign tourists are going down 

gradually due to this state of the 

beaches and the increase in Indian 

tourists (which we are happy about) 

have also increased the littering 

behaviour !! 

He says each an every individual 

should take responsibility not to litter

if noticed on the beach, he suggests 

installations of dustbins ( dry and wet ) 

is important. Hence the drive to bring 

awareness and eventually stop littering

clean. It’s a form of meditation, mental 

hygiene. It’s called karma yoga, the

Rockstar Games acquires India's 

oldest video game company 

Rockstar Games, the company 

behind the game GTA and Red Dead 

Redemption has acquired India’s 

oldest video game company, Dhruva 

Interactive from Starbreeze Studios for 

$7.9 million (approximately 55 crores). 

According to the post on their official 

website, Dhruva Interactive was founded 

back in 1997 by Rajesh Rao in Bangalore. 

As per the post on Starbreeze’s website, 

the company has agreed to sell its 

91.82% stake in Dhruva. The post further 

mentioned that the ongoing projects 

would continue uninterrupted and 

approximately 500 employees are already 

working on future Rockstar’s games. 

“Dhruva Interactive has been a beacon 

of Indian game development for decades 

and we are excited to bring them into 

the Rockstar family,” said Daniel Smith, 

Studio Manager of Rockstar India. 

“The addition of the Dhruva team to 

the existing talent at Rockstar India 

will expand the studio’s capabilities and 

reinforces our belief in and commitment 

to the local development community.” 

The post further clarifies that the 

Rajesh Rao, the founder of the company 

will continue working with both 

Dhruva Interactive and Rockstar Games 

to support the transition process. 

Sharing the thought about the 

acquisition by Rockstar games, Rao, the 

company's CEO, shares Smith's sentiments 

"Rockstar Games are the undisputed 

leaders of innovation and creativity in 

modern game development," Rao said. 

"Dhruva Interactive was founded with 

the aim of creating a world-class game 

development community in India, and 

so bringing the Dhruva team under the
