Flare Usage
Every Member of the department will be issued flares, the flares
that they are given must be used according to the guideline. They must
follow the guidelines unless otherwise said by Chief of Fire Operations.
They shall not be used by anyone in the medical bureau until we figure
out how you'll use them.
Full Roadway Blockage
A Full Roadway Blockage is to be used when you need to completely
close a roadway. When placing the flares they must be exactly 3 studs
apart from each other. As seen, a flare is placed on each road marker,
two in the middle of those. There should only be 5 flares in use.
Partial Roadway Blockage
A Partial Roadway Blockage is used when only one lane of the road
needs to be closed. When setting a Partial Roadway Blockage up the
flares must go diagonally up to the lane divider. From there they go as
far up as you need them. You will also need to put your traffic director
facing left or right depending on which lane you are blocking.
I will be talking with the developers about also getting us the road signs
DOT has for safer movement of traffic when this is used.
Intersection Blockage
A Intersection Blockage is used when you need to completely block off
two intersections. To set up the Intersection blockage you are to drive
the rig in the middle most point of the two lanes, you would then proceed
to put down 5 flares in a quarter circle shape. They must be 3 studs
apart.
