Giggleswick is one of the UK’s oldest and most
distinguished schools, founded in 1512 and over 500
years later we proudly maintain its reputation as one of
the top co-educational boarding schools in the north of
England. Our forward-thinking approach to education is
not just about excellent academic achievement, but
providing a well-rounded education, equipping young
people with the skills, confidence and self-belief they
need to embrace their world beyond school.
The modern Giggleswick is a warm and vibrant school
of some 500 pupils between the ages of 3 and 18,
offering both boarding and day provision for boys and
girls in a highly supportive and inspiring environment.
The enriching experience of our boarding ethos
permeates throughout the junior and senior school,
allowing our day pupils as well as boarders to benefit
from the close community, outstanding facilities and
vast range of activities available throughout the
extended day and weekends too.
Our unique brand is further defined by our amazing
location in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Our idyllic and iconic English setting gives life a sense
of adventure and discovery at Giggleswick. Our pupils
