Turning a new leaf
By Sophia Mone
The ants they crawl
The leaves they fall
As I turn over a new leaf
The rain it pours
Above the clouds, we soar
As I turn over a new day
The children sing
As we spread our wings
As we turn over a new night
The rainbow shines
As the bees thrive
As we turn over the past
The future is bright
As they take flight
Watching them soar
Turning over a new leaf
We fly throughout the
Every creature from afar
Watching young ones take
Flight
From paw, to fin, to hoof to
At dusk, a night song that
A Witch’s Letter
By Sophia Mone
Dear Mary,
It's almost here! I can`t wait!
For once I won’t be overshadowed by
my mother and sister Nancy. This
year's Magic Circle will be one to
remember. Can`t wait to see you there.
Thea
Dear Thea,
You better be kittening me right now!
HAHAHA! But really, what do you
mean by one to remember? Are you
going to blow something up…..
AGAIN? Really, can`t you go ONE
WEEK without BLOWING
SOMETHING UP? But I know what
you mean. Blaze is showing off her
new fire magic and I'm sick of it.
Mary
Mary,
Ok look , that cat joke was kinda funny
and punny at the same time but I know
what you mean with blowing
something up. It wasn't my fault last
year. It was BLAZE.
More later, Thea
Thea,
Almost time! See you at the Witching
Circle.
Always there for you, Mary
That night Mary and Thea
were sworn into the White
Magic Circle and turned into
forever witches of the night.

Warriors Review
 By Madison Silbor
There are many book series
but there is one that
is very popular. This book
is Warriors. Warriors is about
four clans of wild cats that live in
the forest. It sounds pretty nice,
but it’s a hard struggle for them
to survive and stay in line. The
clans have to make sure no
other clan is trespassing while
they also have to focus on
feeding and training. In the
midst of all this struggle is
Rusty. A young house cat that
longs to be free in the forest
despite the struggles and risk of
his healthy living. On his journey
as a new member of
Thunderclan he receives his first
apprentice name, Firepaw. We
also meet his new best friends,
Graypaw and Ravenpaw.
Firepaw discovers the real
struggle to be able to live in the
wild and even finds some
suspicions of a big warrior,
Tigerclaw.
I recommend this series to
those who love action, mystery,
shocking plot twists, and a lot
more. Props to the four women
authors who joined together to
make this book series and
became Erin Hunter. Check out
their other book series;
Survivors; a series about dogs,
and Seekers; a series about
three different species of bears.
A Short Spring Story
By Katharine French
Running through the warm
spring grass, I ran through the
woods hoping to find my friend. I
took a deep breath inhaling the
sweet spring air. Finally after
many minutes of searching I
found her: a beautiful majestic
fox. She had a warm thick coat
of brunette fur with crimson
stripes on its side. It had a
bushy tail that blended with the
tall evergreen trees. The fox and
I stared at each other for a while
then silently approached me
and let me pet her. The fur felt
warm on my hand and made me
feel happy inside. The fox ran
away happily and I chased it
back to her warm den where her
family was. It made me happy to
find my fox friend so delightfully
sitting with her family. After
hours of sitting with the fox
family. I turned around and ran
back through the forest, toward
the scent of warm dinner
coming from my home.
“Seasons” Teaser
by Madison Silbor
It was silent in the forest.
The warmth of the sun streamed
through the lush green trees.
The leaves swayed on their
branches. Gradually, they
transformed from green, to
autumn. The forest transformed
from summer to fall as a young
red filly with a blonde mane
walked past. Her blue eyes
glowed a bright orange and the
shape of a leaf glowed on her
chest. The air changed from a
welcoming warmth, to a bitter
crisp. This filly is Autumnleaf.
She is in control of the Fall
season. She brings it after
Summer and takes it before
Winter. She had never met the
other Season Foals. It would be
fatal for the world if she did.
Seasons cannot collide without
a disaster happening. It was a
lonely life for Autumnleaf, but
she took her responsibility
seriously and strongly. She
flared her nostrils, sensing
something ahead. Speeding like
a bullet, a sharp gust of wind
shoved into her. Autumnleaf’s
eyes and chest stopped
glowing. Her mane was flowing
rapidly in the breeze. She
looked at her surroundings and
her heart dropped when she did.
All the autumn she had created
was gone. Not only the autumn,
but everything else. The only
thing she saw was bare tree
branches and dusty waters. The
air was dry and undescribable.
All the grass was gone, too. A
deep mist surrounded her.
Other hoofsteps echoed around
the empty woods. Through the
mist came three foals, all from a
different direction. To
Autumnleaf’s right was a pure
white filly with glacier blue eyes.
To her left was a golden
palomino filly with white
speckles all over her body. Her
eyes were a blazing amber. In
front of Autumnleaf was a colt.
His coat was dapple grey, dark
at the bottom getting lighter to
where his mane was white. His
eyes were hazel with a friendly
gaze. Autumnleaf froze with
fear. She had never met the
other Season Foals, but she
already knew these were them.
All four seasons had just
collided, and she didn’t know
what would happen to the world.
All she knew was that it could
end fatal.
