Health network growth of Mogi das Cruzes City
Hall, which has doubled in size in recent years, has
followed a strategic planning in order to best care
for its patients. The city invested not only in the
basic network, but also in areas that would be the
responsibility of the State or the Federal Government.
The city maintains seven 24-hour emergency
room units, including two Upas that end caring
not only the city’s residents, but also neighboring
cities. The same happens in the Child Emergency
Room units, one of them installed in the
Municipal Hospital.

Municipality has laboratory of clinical analyzes of the Albert Einstein Hospital.
“More than 20% of the care are for residents
of neighboring cities and about 20% have health
insurance. Of course this raises our expenses, but we
cannot deny care for these patients”, claims Mayor
Marcus Melo. “On the other hand, this reveals the
effi ciency of our network,” he says.
Another highlight of the network is the Municipal
Laboratory of Clinical Analyzes, managed by Albert
Eistein Hospital. “We are the only city in the country
to achieve this partnership with Eistein. We are talking
about more than 1 million examinations per year “,
emphasizes Secretary Marcello Cusatis.
