MOGI HAS A UNIVERSITY POPULATION
OF 20 THOUSAND STUDENTS

The technical training of Mogi citizens also stands out in the 14 technical education schools
present in the city, among them Senai. With 20,000 vacancies offered annually, the Municipal
Support Center for Youth and Adult Education (Crescer), of the Municipality of Mogi das Cruzes,
has six units in the city that offer free courses of professional initiation in different areas.

Professionals trained in Mogi das Cruzes work in several areas.
Mogi das Cruzes is nationally known for being one of
the largest universities cities in the country. Together, the
Universities of Mogi das Cruzes, Braz Cubas, Fatec and
Clube Náutico Mogiano have approximately 20,000
students in dozens of undergraduate and graduate courses.
“Our city has many attractions for the development
of new businesses, such as proximity to the Capital, the
Airport, the access roads. But this human capital made
up of universities and colleges is something fantastic, and
we are trying to make the most of it, taking advantage
of all the potential of university students to improve our
city”, Said Mayor Marcus Melo.
To that end, he explains, City Hall has approached
educational institutions so they can help develop tools to
improve city management. Initiatives such as Digital
Pole also aim at retaining in Mogi talents that come out
of university banks. “We want to establish a virtuous
circle, stimulating young people to undertake in the city,
attracting companies and investors to the municipality,”
concludes Melo.
