CITY PRESENTATION
Unlike most cities that have a single productive sector
that supports the local economy, Mogi is privileged
because it has a very strong industrial sector, hosting
several multinational companies, trade and services, and
a strong agricultural sector, considered the Green Belt of
the State of São Paulo, thanks to the strong presence of
the Japanese-Brazilian community, which is already in
its third generation in the municipality.
In addition, Mogi begins to encourage a
new sector of the economy. In late September,
the city inaugurated its Digital Polo, inspired
by models implemented by companies such as
Google, Microsoft, Itaú and also in successful
experiences abroad, with the aim of stimulating
the emergence of startups.

Despite all this evolution, Mogi still preserves
its characteristic of inner city. At every corner, Mogi
presents milestones of history and culture, started in
1560. Churches, museums, temples and monuments
are part of an extensive list of sites that have witnessed
its rich history.
