Crusader Community Boating
People with physical or mental disabilities, as well as
those from care homes, can enjoy a day trip on the
local waterways in its purpose-built boat.
Trips run from Gayton Junction, at Blisworth Arm,
along the Grand Union Canal and passengers can
bring a picnic or stop at The Wharf canalside pub,
Bugbrooke.
The volunteers provide the free trips with funding
from voluntary donations, fundraising and private
charter trips for groups of up to 20 passengers. A
perfect day out for family and friends.
Demand has increased so the charity is seeking
finance to purchase a second boat to provide an
expanded service for primary school children.
