STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Aveda prides itself on its continuous dedication into funding
humanitarian efforts and charities both locally and worldwide.
Students have the opportunity to participate in these events that
not only encourage personal growth and development, but also
provide networking opportunities in the city.
WALK FOR WATER
In honour of earth day, Aveda has set aside a whole month
to love, celebrate and raise funds to protect the earth and
its peoples. Together we have raised over $18 million for
organizations that directly affect environmental change, and $12
million for clean water projects at home and around the world.
Our key fundraising project includes our annual Walk For Water
held across the nation.
This walk unites salon professionals from across North America in
a 6 km walk –the average distance a young girl or woman in East
Africa must walk to access clean water. Through the walk we aim to
generate awareness to the global water crisis. Participate in
our success and help us touch the lives of tens of thousands of
families worldwide.
CAREER PLACEMENT
With over 7,000 Aveda locations worldwide and a network of over
800 salons, spas, health clubs nationwide, the Aveda Institute can
help you begin your professional career.
HOUSING
The Aveda Institute can assist students in finding roommates and
suitable housing, though the Institute does not own or operate
housing facilities.
ACADEMIC AND INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
The Aveda institute provides academic counseling to all
students. We will help you with tutoring should you
experience challenges in meeting the minimum performance
standards and course requirements as set by the Institute and
provincial requirements

Tuition for the program can be paid in a lump sum
due by the first day of the program or in monthly
installments throughout the duration of the program.
A receipt is available for each payment. A tuition
statement of account is issued monthly and is also
available anytime upon request.
A deposit must be submitted with completed
application package in order to complete the
application process. Depending on the program, the
deposit may be refunded if a change in enrollment
occurs. Be sure to confirm with the Admissions
Specialist which program has a full refund policy for
the deposit.
Based on program requirements students may also
be required to purchase tools, books, mannequin
heads and other program supplies as required for
specific projects and assignments.
DEFERRALS
Once a student has been accepted to an Aveda
Institute program and both contracts have been
signed and submitted by the applicant, their
enrollment has begun. If at this point the student
wishes to suspend their enrollment and defer to
another available entry date, a deferral fee may be
charged to the student.
