HAIRSTYLING PROGRAM
Express your creativity and talent. Our hairstyling course incorporates hands-on learning
to provide you with real salon experience, with a focus on beauty and wellness. Aveda
teaches you the business aspect of the industry and how to market yourself. You will learn
to build your own guest-base by working with real guests throughout your program. As an
Aveda graduate, you will be a true salon professional with limitless career opportunities.
Graduate in: 10-12+months (1200-1500 hours)
Level: Beginner
Pre-Requisite: Little to no experience
Certification Awarded: Hairstyling Diploma
Introduction/Alpha Unit
You will start by learning the fundamentals. Lectures, demonstrations and workshops
concentrate on skill, accuracy and reinforcing classroom knowledge. You’ll be introduced
to retailing, guest services, sanitation and safety requirements.
Beta Unit
Unlock your creativity as you explore the latest trends and techniques in cut, colour and style.
You will increase your confidence on the clinic floor and begin to learn vital career-advancing
skills such as interviewing and resume writing.
Gamma Unit
Get ready to launch your career with in-depth training in guest service, time management,
self-promotion, goal setting and entrepreneurship. Your speed, accuracy and concentration
are now ready for the salon. You demonstrate competency in all tasks required for the skill
certification examination and possess the theoretical knowledge required to pass the written
exam. It’s time to realize your dreams as a salon professional.
