� start dcomcnfg.exe<br />
� open properties of StatConnectorSrv under<br />
"DCOM Config"<br />
– on the “Location“ tab check uncheck “Run application on this<br />
computer“<br />
– check “Run application on the following computer“ and add<br />
the computer name<br />
� whenever an application creates an instance of<br />
StatConnector, it is created on the remote machine<br />
– it is not necessarily run under the interactive (logged on) user<br />
– local graphics or text output is not possible<br />
– access to the file system is on the remote machine<br />
– access to R and installed packages is on the remote machine
