gardens: a rural sanctuary in the heart of Sussex.<br />
Admire art created by the Attic Art Club; portrait<br />
and landscape painter, Jane Allison, and<br />
photographer, Christina Chelmick. Spot birds and<br />
butterflies on a tour of the Woodland Walk and enjoy<br />
stunning views of the South Downs with a cuppa<br />
and slice of cake. You can also meet the two most<br />
mischievous members of the hospice team:<br />
the donkeys, Dudley and Dylan!<br />
About the artists:<br />
Jane Allison is a portrait and landscape painter<br />
and has work in many private and public collections.<br />
She has exhibited widely, including with the Royal<br />
Society of Portrait Painters and in the BP Portrait<br />
Award as a prize winner.<br />
The Attic Art Club is a group of around thirty<br />
professional and semi-professional artists, founded<br />
more than 70 years ago in an attic in Ditchling by<br />
talented artist, Rose Cobban. Members include not<br />
only painters using a wide range of media and styles:<br />
evocative watercolours, stunning abstracts and<br />
fascinating portraits, but also sculptors, ceramicists<br />
and a glass artist.<br />
Christina Chelmick is an international award winning<br />
photographer, focusing on location photography of<br />
people and places. She is a long standing supporter<br />
of the hospice, taking beautiful photos at events and<br />
of hospice life itself.<br />
