The landscape changes to a fresh breath of colours when mountains and plains are blanketed in a lush summer tapestry of heather, moss and flowers. Greenland provides the perfect setting for incredible nature experiences. We visit the mighty ice sheet that covers 80 per cent of the country, and sail through the UNESCO-listed Icefjord to experience the majestic icebergs in the midnight sun. We have the pleasure of meeting the locals and enjoying their hospitality when we are invited to dinner in a private Greenlandic home in the small settlement of Oqaatsut. Hikes and kayaking is possible here and we will be sampling local specialities.
