The <strong>KE7200</strong> <strong>Ethernet</strong> <strong>Performance</strong> <strong>Tester</strong> is an easy-to-use tool that verifies and troubleshoots all types of <strong>Ethernet</strong> cable<br />
installations, from essential copper wiring tests to active IP PING. Advanced copper test capabilities include active TDR for cable<br />
length and detection of split pairs even on jumpers (down to 2 meter or 6 feet). The <strong>KE7200</strong> even shows multiple faults simultaneously.<br />
Essential Copper Tests<br />
<strong>KE7200</strong> tests for wire continuity, opens, shorts, miswires and split pairs and shows test results on the easy to read graphical display<br />
with backlight. The length of the cable and distance to fault (short or open) is also shown by the <strong>KE7200</strong>.<br />
Cabel Trace<br />
Port identification via Link-Blink function and settabel trace tones for locating cables with capacitive Probe (optional PROBE310).<br />
Active Testing<br />
The <strong>KE7200</strong> <strong>Ethernet</strong> <strong>Performance</strong> <strong>Tester</strong> finds and displays network-connected devices with their IP/MAC addresses. It works with<br />
either DHCP or fixed IP services. Connected devices can be PINGed one by one with selectable frame lengths and CRC errors are<br />
displayed if they occur.<br />
Power over <strong>Ethernet</strong> (PoE)<br />
The <strong>KE7200</strong> can perform a Power over <strong>Ethernet</strong> Test (IEEE802.3af). <strong>KE7200</strong> not only checks for ability of Power over <strong>Ethernet</strong>, it<br />
detects the type available and what power level is supported. PoE is appearing more commonly as devices like wireless access points<br />
(WAP), IP cameras and IP telephones grow in popularity. Mismatches between equipment and power supply can cause a variety of<br />
problems.<br />
Data storage<br />
Cable measurements and information about <strong>Ethernet</strong> performance can be stored and transfered to a PC or laptop. The included<br />
Windows PC-Software <strong>Ethernet</strong>-Manager gives clear indication about cable length, cable faults and allows the creation of test reports.<br />
Setup<br />
The <strong>KE7200</strong> has 16 predefined wiring shemes further shemes are user settable via device. Cable types are also predefined and<br />
further types can be created by the user via device.
