Quand y aller? / When to go ?
Le marché du cercle mess se trouve au centre
de la ville d’Antsirabe, à quelques minutes
de l’hôtel des thermes. Le climat est de type
tropical chaud avec une température oscillant
entre 6 °C et 31 °C. L’hiver austral y est plutôt
rude par rapport aux autres régions de l’île. La
meilleure période pour y aller est comprise entre
mars et octobre.
The market for precious stones is held in the
former garrison located in the centre of the
town of Antsirabe, a few minutes from the Hôtel
des Thermes. The region has a hot tropical
climate, with temperatures varying between
6°C and 31°C. Southern winter is often colder
here than in the other regions of Madagascar.
The best period to visit is between March and
October.

Outre la location de voiture, avec ou sans
chauffeur, le meilleur moyen de se rendre à
Antsirabe est de prendre un taxi-brousse à
la gare routière de Fasan’ny Karana, au sud
d’Antananarivo.
Apart from renting a car, with or without a
driver, the best way to travel to Antsirabe is to
take a bush taxi from the bus station of Fasan’ny
Karana, in the south of Antananarivo.

Antsirabe offre une large gamme
d’infrastructures hôtelières. Les appartements
d’hôtes Marciloui, l’hôtel H1, Le Royal Palace,
l’hôtel le Trianon, Green Land Lodge, Couleur
Café, hôtel des Thermes ou encore hôtel Vahiny,
la liste est longue et chacun se fera un plaisir de
vous héberger dans la ville d’Eaux.
Antsirabe offers a wide range of accommodation.

Marciloui, but also H1 Hotel, the Royal Palace, the
Trianon, the Green Land Lodge, Couleur Café, the
Hôtel des Thermes or the Vahiny. The list is long
and you will be made very welcome wherever you
stay in the town.

Rien de plus facile que de trouver un bon
restaurant à Antsirabe, la majorité des hôtels
disposent d’un coin resto. Certaines tables
méritent toutefois d’être citées. Ainsi, Zandina,
Chez Jenny, Le Pousse-pousse, Le Rêve, La
Cabane Chez Cla, figurent parmi la liste des bons
restaurants. Vous pouvez également manger
en ville pour apprécier la qualité de l’accueil du
peuple d’antsirabe.
You will have no difficulty at all finding a good
restaurant in Antsirabe and most of the hotels
also have their own restaurant. However, a few
addresses deserved a special mention: Zandina,
Chez Jenny, Le Pousse-pousse, Le Rêve, and La
Cabane Chez Cla. You can also find high quality
food in town and you will appreciate the warm
welcome of the local population.

Visitez la station thermale d’Antsirabe puis faites
une balade le long de l’avenue de l’indépendance.
Si la durée de votre séjour vous le permet, optez
plutôt pour les eaux thermales de Betafo sans
oublier le détour au lac d’Andraikiba et au lac
Tritriva.
Visit the spa of Antsirabe then take a stroll along
the Avenue de l’Indépendance. If you have the time,
the best spa is Betafo and take a trip to appreciate
the beauty of the lakes of Andraikiba and Tritriva.
