NEW
CURRICULUM
This year’s graduating class is the first to enter the industry with knowledge
from the new and flexible curriculum. It combines the creativity of graphic
communications with the business and management principles needed
to prepare students as future professional managers in the printing and
packaging industry. As students progress through the program, they are able
to explore specific topics.
In their first year, students are introduced to core concepts in the printing
industry, with hands-on lab courses focused on layout and printing processes.
In their second year, the curriculum focuses on improving upon previously
learned skills. A focus is put on topics such as typography, material science,
premedia workflows, and binding and finishing. The third year of classes
gives students insight into specific areas of the printing industry, with a
focus on business management. In their final year, students complete their
concentrations and apply all of their knowledge in a final project, either
a business plan or thesis.
