GCM
The printing industry is Canada’s fourth-largest manufacturing
employer: an $11 billion dollar industry with 60,000 employees
working in more than 4,000 different establishments, according
to Statistics Canada. The School of Graphic Communications
Management (GCM) at Ryerson University is the only degreegranting
program in Canada dedicated to the printing industries.
The 4-year degree offers incredible opportunities in all areas of
digital imaging and print production leading to a management
career in the dynamic and rapidly growing printing industries.
The state-of-the-art Heidelberg Centre uses the latest technologies
available to help students become the future experts of the
printing industry. The program aims to turn students into effective
professionals in the printing industry through a solid foundation of
education and hands-on experience that allows them to develop as
professional managers. Recently, the Heidelberg Centre underwent
a series of renovations to accommodate the growing number of
students. Key renovations included project rooms, individual
workspaces, and a new packaging lab.
