If you could add
a new course to
GCM, what would
it be and why?
How do you plan to
make your mark in
the print industry?
JB
If I could add a new course to GCM it would be
an advanced design course. My reason being that
myself and many of my fellow classmates would
appreciate even more opportunities to showcase
and expand our design abilities. Additionally,
the design courses we have had at GCM had
been at the beginning of our university careers
and were primarily focused on how to use the
Adobe Creative Suite. Moving forward I hope
that GCM not only adds more design courses to
the curriculum but also creates a graphic design
concentration to support students heading into
that field of our industry.
I plan on making my mark in this industry
through cosmetic packaging. Across the beauty
industry brands, for the most part, follow the
same trends and end up producing practically
identical products as one another. However,
the way these brands differentiate themselves
and exhibit their brand’s value is through their
packaging. After graduation, I plan on becoming
a part of a brand’s packaging team and work to
communicate our brand’s worth and message
to the customer by engaging their senses when
coming in contact with our product/package.
