Explain how you have
changed since your
first year at Ryerson.
What is your plan
after graduation?
A
I began as a very shy student not knowing
anyone in the program. This was extremely
intimidating to me especially because I had
come from a tight-knit private school. Much to
my pleasure, I found that GCM was also a very
tight-knit group where I have made new friends
for life. University teaches you great life lessons
such as learning how to interact with different
people and finding all your strengths and
weaknesses. I feel that I have really optimized
my brain in the sense that certain subjects
that I felt I was not strong in, I am now able to
understand and conquer.
My plan after graduation is to travel as much as
I can and build upon important relationships.
Along with education, networking is extremely
important when trying to look for jobs. The
more people you know, the more opportunities
will be put in front of you. I am very interested
in the retail fashion world and I think graphic
communications definitely plays a huge role in
this industry. I am very fortunate to have been
part of such unique programs that many other
universities do not have. I would love to open my
own business one day to put all my management
and design skills to the test.
