COLLECTIVE ARTS
GCM Collective Arts started with a clear goal in mind: to give artistic students of GCM a
creative outlet. The Fall 2018 semester was the launch of the first 2 issues, composed of
submissions from GCM students from every year. Various photographs, illustrations, vector
art, sketches, typography, and other forms of digital art are displayed throughout the halls of
the Heidelberg Centre to showcase the creative talent of GCM Students. Social media is used
to expand reach to other programs, schools, and fans all over the world while keeping the
Heidelberg Centre a GCM-centric space. The easy-to-submit process and option for anonymity
aim to make GCM Collective Arts as student-friendly as possible. The goal is to provide
everyone with equal opportunity and shrink the gap between content creation and publishing.
Future roadmaps for GCM Collective Arts include a physical compendium of the year’s issues
and an increased focus on social media and outreach beyond GCM.
