RyeTAGA is the official student chapter of TAGA at Ryerson University, which stands for the
Technical Association of the Graphic Arts. It is the core mission of RyeTAGA to produce a journal
for TAGA’s Annual Technical Conference. The journal contains academic research papers from
students in the School of Graphic Communications Management and is completed designed,
printed, and finished by students within the School of Graphic Communications Management.
The journal travels with students of the GCM program to the conference to compete with other
student chapters for the Harvey Levenson Undergraduate Student Paper Award and the Helmut
Kipphan Student Publication Award, also known as “The Cup.” At the conference, students have
the opportunity to take in seminars and keynote speeches, and to interact with professionals,
educators, scientists, and other students within the printing industry.
