The most important thing I learned from my
internship was to push beyond my comfort zone.
I believe every person has talents and skills that
they are proud of. But when it comes to facing
weaknesses, we sometimes shy away from facing
them. In my internship, there were instances
where I got nervous to do a task because I was
afraid of not reaching expectations. But it was
important for me to try it out in order to gain
industry skills and to grow as a person. I take
those failures and lessons, and continue to learn
and grow from them.
One of my biggest accomplishments at GCM was
acquiring the Dean’s List award in my third year
of university. I am proud of this accomplishment
because I set that as a top goal for the year.
There were moments where it was tempting to
put in minimal effort, but I remained resilient
and tried my best. In the end, all my efforts
became my goal’s reality. It felt very rewarding
to reach an achievement that I had worked
hard for. In the future, I will apply the same
determination I have in school towards my job
in the industry.
